The site slopes quite a bit but you can find level pitches. Unfortunately we arrived later than anticipated and very tired so took one of the first pitches we found not realising that it was close to the road. We would have done better had we driven round more. There is a very good pub just up the road, you can walk through the woods from the site and come out opposite it, this saves having to go up the road. The toilets and showers were very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful, we had to ring them on our way down as we knew we would be late but that did not cause them any problems. We only stayed one night so did not explore the area, but I don’t think there any good walks or bicycle routes, having a motorhome we need these.
