Fab we loved it and the star were excellent

Well I have to say it's quite hard to get it right these days but I would certainly say Putts Corner has if you like peace and quiet. The facility's were spotless the staff were very helpful and noting was to much bother. We loved this place and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Putts Corner to anyone who likes peace and quiet. 10/10 can't wait to visit again next time we are staying for a week. Pete & Dora Browning

Lovely and quiet

This is our second time here. (low season) Quiet and friendly. Clean facilities. Good location with a short walk to local pub, central to number of places to visit with a short drive to Seaton, Sidmouth, Honiton just to mention a few. Will stay again.

Love Devon

We chose Putts Corner site as it was close to most of things we wanted to see and do in Devon, the site is clean and peaceful, we were however disappointed that one of the toilet blocks had been closed for the season, we arrived ten days before the end of the season, other caravaners said the second block was closed before they arrived who like us were not happy as the site book states "two toilet blocks" so not sure how long it had been closed for, all the other facilities at the block were open ie water/waste ect, we and other caravaners were rather perplexed as there was quite a few campers on the site, it was also very inconvenient when they closed the main block for cleaning one had to keep legs crossed!  The site was kept clean and tidy friendly staff, sad about the lack of second facility.

Seasonal Pitch

We stayed at this site some years ago and it is in a wonderful part of the country with lovely coastline. On announcing that we had booked a seasonal pitch our welcome was somewhat abrupt being told “you know you are on a grass pitch, you must vacate every 21 days and when you do take your awning down” This welcome we later found out was also shared by another couple with a similar booking to ours. The matter of taking down your awning when vacating site is apparently for health & safety reasons in case the site has to be cleared. On the basis that with few exceptions most vans have secure wheel and hitch locks and no keys are left with the wardens, seeing this happen would be interesting. Our circumstances deem that we only had to vacate the site twice for the minimum period of 48 hours so taking the awning down was an inconvenience. I can understand that were you leaving the site for much longer periods the packing away of an awning may offer you peace of mind. We have no objection to a grass pitch and when this late season pitch was booked and fully paid for in November 2015 we understood the T’s & C’s but a grass pitch should be fit for purpose and give a choice of only 4 which were all on a perimeter bank with excessive slopes in both axis was not an ideal start to an 8 week holiday. Thankfully were told at the end of September (21 days after arriving) that we could move to a hard standing, this coincided with most of the grass pitches being taken out of service. On 12th October, nearly 4 weeks before the site was due to close, all internal facilities in one toilet block were closed. I see no valid reason to do this as the site was still taking bookings and during half term week could not have been far from capacity. Wi-Fi, as per normal provided by a 3rd party, site is assigned Bronze status which is very optimistic, recommend you buy stamps and send postcards as connections were sporadic and very slow. Hare & Hounds Pub is a short walk from site, lovely staff, excellent food and great value for money. The adjacent road to Ottery St Mary is also a commuter run and subject to early morning traffic, the site is also on the approach to Exeter airport so don't be surprised to be woken in the early hours by low flying aircraft. Having been a member for 10 years this was our first experience of a seasonal pitch and one we would now hesitate to repeat with the CC. For 2017 we have be able to secure a full season hard standing serviced pitch with a private site in the locality, and you can leave your awning in place when you temporarily vacate the site! Having said the above we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area and would recommend the site for a standard booking.

The best of Autumn

What a pleasant surprise, this little gem in the heart of the countryside. A warm welcome arrival and choice of pitches, each one spacious and surrounded by magnificent autumnal trees. We were very tired on our return to the site later in the evening, after a fantastic folk concert in Honiton, just four miles away. The toilet block was so warm and inviting, the best surprise of all, stepping out of the shower onto a warm, dry floor! No trouble walking back to our Campervan, as the walkways are well lit, without being intrusive. To round off a perfect evening, a cheeky hedgehog shuffled across at our feet. A lovely site - we will definitely return!

A wonderful site

We have stayed overnight on a couple of occasions and each time found it a friendly and helpful site. It was quiet and peaceful. The facilities were clean and tidy. There's a pleasant pub only a short walk from the site, but it is very busy. The Donkey Sanctuary is only a ten minute drive away and is a beautiful place to spend the day. We will be back on a regular basis x

One of our favourites

We love this site its in an ideal location, stayed again the last week in October. Facilities are good, although perhaps a shame that the smaller toilet block was closed. Only real complaint is the wi-fi; spent my £10 for 168 hours continuous use and probably had a total of three hours of very slow and very intermittent access. Also surprised to find that the club is still using an unsecured wi-fi network!

Excellent Site

Stayed here for a long weekend in late October. The Wardens were very friendly and the site was spotlessly clean. The toilets were also immaculately clean and very warm. Also has a lovely dog walk, We will return.
