What a hidden gem

This site is not for you if you want, noise, club house etc. For us it was perfect, the site is well kept, the wardens are great, and the views fantastic. There is a great pub serving good food 5 minutes away, and another approx 1 1/2 miles away. The second is worth the walk (or drive), great food with lovely sea views. Our dog had a great time too, the dog walk is large and fun for them, with areas left un-mown for them to romp around in if they wish. Down the lane by the site, brings you to a dog friendly beach, a car park and a couple of cafes. Overall, it was a great couple of days. Thank you.

WILD & WONDERFUL

We rate this site very highly because of its cleanliness, position, views and wardens.  We were not put off by lack of facilities as we are self-sufficient other than need for water, drains & electrical supply.  Wardens are super and could not do enough for members on site - Thanks Guy & Christine.  We put our awning up in a strong wind and neighbouring caravanners were very quick to help us make sure we completed the task safely.  Will we go back again?  The answer is definitely YES

Plymouth is a Sound Site

Breathtaking views, amazing countryside yet just a short trip into the city.  Such a shame we only had two nights at this site and we will be returning as so much to see and do.  The wardens were amazing as the day we moved it was pouring with rain and also very windy, for those who didn't have the use of a 4 x 4 they were helping holiday makers to get onto the top of the site. Hope to see you again next year and this time for a longer stay.

Charming Site

We stayed at the site for 3 Days June 2015. The wardens were friendly, welcoming and informative. The views from the site were stunning and the weather was fine. The site dog walk was excellent and we managed to find plenty of footpaths around the site to make circular routes to and from the site. There was a good pub within a 5 minute walk........ We will return!

Superb site

Just returned from six nights here.  The site is kept immaculately by the very friendly wardens.  The site and wardens are a real credit to the Caravan Club. The top part of the site is the most level area if you have a motorhome but the views of Plymouth sound are restricted by other units in front.  The best views are on the lower part but some serious leveling will be required.  No toilet block here so making the nightly pitch fees considerably cheaper.  Excellent dog walk and large playing field for the children.  The last mile on approach is rather narrow with passing places.  Overall a fabulous site that we will be using again.

Great site with some reservations

A great site with great views, but the great location brings with it wind!.It is a pity that there is no grey water disposal towards the bottom of the field (where the best views are) but at least there is a drinking water tap on the lower slope. The dog walk is great with mown paths over a large field. We will be back!

A Fabulous Site

I did question when the old wardens left if the standards of this one warden site would slip, but I am glad to say I am wrong. The new ones are exceptionally pleasant, keep an excellent site and a credit to the club.  This site has superb views over Plymouth sound and a fabulous play field for children where there is ample room for all sorts of games. Dogs are also looked after with what has got to be one of the best dog walks on the network.  An excellent site.

Lovely site

A lovely pleasant and quiet site. We had gale force winds while we were there but managed not to be transported to France! Lovely views over Plymouth Sound. Guy and Chris are lovely people making you most welcome and keep the site immaculate Access roads immediately before the site are narrow and yes the double decker bus could cause problems but don't let this put you off. The local people are very friendly, it's like stepping back in time. Walks and views are fantastic. Good for dogs and children alike with a large playing fields for both. We will certainly return.

Perfect

A most fabulous setting, yes you are exposed to the elements and as this was our first baptism in a motorhome we experienced the worst ever winds which had us peeping out the window in the night to make sure we were still on the correct pitch. That aside the location of being so very peaceful with beautiful views the wind did not detract from our stay.  We walked in both directions to Wembury and to Plymouth and they were really stunning walks.  Lots to do if you choose to stay longer and Guy & Chris are so helpful and accommodating you will feel right at home.  Don't forget to visit the Mussel Inn just a short walk away for good food if you fancy a treat, but beware it seems to be shut on a Monday night
