Just returned from 10 days at this site. We love it here for its views, particularly the activity in the sound. We arrived late in the day in the pouring rain and just pitched. Next morning we asked if we could move pitches, the wardens said we could help ourselves, asked if we needed any help then cut the grass on the pitch we were moving to. What more could you ask for? Lovely site and great wardens.
Thank you.

We have just stayed here for 3 nights and all I can say is what a fantastic beautiful and clean site this is. From the moment we pulled in to the site we were made extremely welcome by the wardens (lovely couple). They were both friendly and had exceptional customer service. I even saw the wardens walking round the site with members as they looked for a pitch giving them advice about the site and the best places to pitch up. We originally booked for 2 nights but extended to 3 nights as we liked the site so much and nothing is too much trouble for the wardens. The dog walk here is excellent and very big. Thank you to You both for a lovely stay and we will defiantly be back as soon as we can.

We visit this part of the West Country most summers at some time and decided to give the Plymouth Sound site a try even though we normally like to have a shower block where we are staying as we knew the location is special even though the approach road is tricky for the last couple of miles. Our visit coincided with the Plymouth Firework competition which we watched from the site and were able to see the aerial fireworks over the Staddon Heights hill. Yes, the approach is tricky for a few hundred yards, but the location when you get there is well worth it for the stunning views from the site. The wardens are so hard working and show you the available pitches when you arrive so you can maximise the view from what is available. The dog walk is good and the field alongside it for children to play looked nice. Bovisand Beach at the bottom of the lane is dog friendly and there is a cafe in the chalet park that you can get a drink from before the slightly steep walk back to the site. The National Trust run Saltram House is a short drive from the site and has lovely walks alongside the Plym estuary. We didn't eat there, but did stop for a drink at the local Mussel Inn, it looked nice but found the drinks expensive so could be hard on the pocket to visit? There are so many things to do in the area so recommend you try this site with lovely views over Plymouth Sound.
