Good site. Well worth a visit.

Only downside, no bins by the service points even though there is space for them. We were quite a walk from the bins and when packing up had to make several journeys , general waste and elsan point and recycling.

A wonderful warm welcome

This is our second visit to this site and we were so impressed by the welcome from the staff here. They are so cheerful and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They helped our friends a lot as it was their first trip and went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. The facilities are excellent and spotless. The pitches are also very well kept. We have a motorhome and the site does mean that there is a lot of walking to get anywhere but as we have been before we knew that. We used a taxi to get to Benllech and had a lovely pub meal. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely quiet site, lovely location

Enjoyed my first visit to Anglesey. Penhros is a well laid out site. Facilities excellent with plenty of showers available. The lady wardens made me very welcome and were most helpful.

First time on Anglesey

Just returned from a 6 night stay and our first visit to this site and to Anglesey. Site is well maintained, very clean, a lovely well equipped and stylish toilet block, great showers etc. A good mix of hard standings and grass for those who may prefer it, some pitches are in the shade and under trees. We were on a lovely serviced pitch, out in the open able to benefit from the sun. Local amenities not far away in Benlech are good, Co-op,Tesco express, petrol stations, fish and chip shops and not too far away to Llangefni which appears to have lots more if needed: Asda, Lidl, Aldi, Iceland etc....As it was our first time, we drove around the island to see what there is: visited south stacks, Beaumaris castle and town, Rhosneighr, Cemaes, over to Caernarfon for castle and walls, Red Wharf Bay, Benlech bay. First time visitors be aware - Do not arrive before 1pm, this site adheres to the rule and will turn you away if you arrive early.

Pleasant stay

Had a 4 nights stay, Mon to Thurs which was quiet although the site was fairly full. Dog walk was brilliant as a large enough field to exercise the dog without being on top of others, also the bridle path was useful to walk the dog. Toilet block recently renovated was kept clean and was adequate for the size of the site. Staff were pleasant and helpful, giving me good directions to the Dingle nature reserve in Llanefni. Situation of the site allowed access to all places on the island. Excellent visit.

Speeding on site

A lovely site with good facilities and access to the island and North Wales. It has a newly refurbished excellent toilet block, but why has the club not invested in solar power especially in the current energy climate. Members seem to think the stretch of road from the first speed hump to the second on entry are designed to see how fast you can go. Speeds in excess of 15mph were not uncommon. Another speed hump is necessary half way down as members cannot be educated to keep to 5mph. It is dangerous with children on site.

Good base

Been to this site many times. Now has a newly built shower block. Staff friendly. Pub within walking distance. Nice walk downhill to the beach about an hour. Good base for travelling round Anglesey.

Tilly’s Trip

This was only the second time we had been out in our van, and the first time for more than 1 night. We arrived Easter Sunday and stayed 3 nights. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed, even though it was our first time erecting and attaching our awning! We were allowed to chose our own pitch ( 21) it was a good one! Not too far from the loo block, and a pitch that there was no reason for anyone to cross as backed on to woods. The site emptied out on BH Monday, there was never more than 2 other people in the spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, although be aware of the closure for cleaning late morning. Location is great, Benllech has pretty much everything you need, and it’s a great location for seeing the rest of this unspoilt island. We particularly enjoyed Newborough. The dog field is near the entrance, but isn’t a bad size. There is a walk from the site, which looks great and we will do it next time, as we will return to this site. On the whole people adhered to the on site speed limit. It was a great place for us to pick up a few tips ( the use of solar lights to stop you falling over guy ropes), the benefits of a windbreak….in our case to stop Tilly barking at anyone within 50 metres who she perceives to be in her garden 🤭. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a break from hustle and bustle of busy lives!

Excellent site. Excellent facilities, the best we've seen and immaculately maintained. Excellent wardens who were very pleasant and very helpful. We would highly recommend this site and will definitely revisit.
