The location is very tranquil and the toilet block and other facilities clean and the wardens very welcoming. The site is well placed for exploring the borders areas and using the M5, M50, A40 and A465, travelling from the English West Midlands was easy. I was surprised by the narrowness of the circuit road and the pitches, one had to be very careful not to career into your car when exiting the caravan as there is very little room. The warden asked me to position our two-berth using our motor-mover rather than reversing in, to avoid damaging the grass, as the weather was wet and the ground sodden. I'd certainly use the site again but wonder why the dimensions of the one-way circuit road and hardstanding pitches are so small?
Just spent the weekend here, very impressed with this site, our first visit here and we will definitely be visiting again. Wardens Bill & Julie were very friendly and kept the site clean & tidy, Bill was especially helpful as it was our first trip out in our motorhome.
Stayed for the last week of the season. The shower block was very dated and in need on refurbishment. It was nice not to have Radio 2 playing! You could not fault the wardens as it was always very clean. During our stay we had an issue with our motor mover. The warden was exceptionally helpful and managed to repair it whilst we were out for the day. Fantastic! Phone signal on O2, Vodafone, 3 and EE was strong. Lots to do in the local area. Very good walk in Abergavenny. Wound strongly recommend this site and especially the wardens!
Just spent the last night of the season at Pandy with Wardens Bill and Julie. First class site and first class wardens. We will be returning next year for certain with Lily our Bull Terrier who also loved the experience.
Pandy is a beautiful site in a beautiful part of Wales and is very accessible - though it's weird that the Club's recommended route suggests everyone approaches via Abergavenny. Fine if you come from South Wales or Bristol but bizarre if you come from the Midlands or North of England - especially as there's an official route for high-sided vehicles from the M50 to the main Hereford-Pandy road. From the end of the M50 take the A49 and then the B4348 (this is the designated road and is a good wide carriageway without a significant hill on it) to the A465. Turn left and you're at Pandy in no time. Be warned though that there are no caravan site signs off the main road so look out for the right turn alongside the Old Pandy Inn - you're approaching from the opposite direction to the directions on the club website. NB None of the other B roads in the area are suitable for caravans.
Great site staff who keep the place spick and span and are very helpful. Pity there are no full service pitches but I know that's a minority interest for lazy caravanners like me!
You wont find a better run or well kept site than this one . Wardens Julie and Bill are as friendly and helpful as could be wished for. As with many sites the shower and toilet block are in need of refurbishment and updating , but are kept immaculately clean and tidy. Would recommend a stay here.
Pandy Site is a superbly well-kept and lovely site. The Wardens are helpful and very friendly. Yes, the railway does run past one side of the site but it is not busy and not noisily intrusive - to be perfectly frank as a male it was quite nice to watch them go by. There is a lovely riverside walk and one of the many pubs is right outside the site selling lovely food and good beer. The area is outstandingly beautiful. The shower blocks are kept scrupulously clean by the wardens. The showers, however, do let the site down. The cubicles are OK although I have seen better. The mixer taps and shower heads have been replaced at some time and can best be described as a Bodge Up' they work indifferently and are not easy to control especially for ladies. Come CAMC there are only six showers how about fixing them properly because they let down what is a fantastic site.
We stayed here to visit friends in the area and had a great time paddling on the nearby river and generally having an outdoorsy weekend.
The site is very neat and tidy and the staff are very helpful. We hope to return.
