This is a great site with fantastic views. Easy access to the cliff walks into Whitley Bay or Blythe. Great fish and chips at Seaton Sluice or Blythe. However, the shower block needs to be replaced. The cubicles are too small which means the floors flood making dressing in the dry verey difficult. There are broken and cracked tiles. Shower heads held in place with tissues or nylon ties. The non-slip floors mean that they are near impossible to clean with a squeegee. The site wasn't full when we visited but one morning I had to wait for a WC. Not what one wants first thing. I could have used the loo in my motorhome, but I would have had to walk back.... The showers etc do nothing to enhance the reputation of the Club. Our pitch was close to the road to the car park, but there was no problem with noise. None of these comments are levelled at the site managers who did a great job. Anyone expecting to be able to use an awning (see other reviews) should look more carefully at the pitch description. Will we return? Definitely! But only because the location and views are brilliant.
