Peace, quiet and views to die for

The photos of this site really don't do it justice. We have been blessed with 3 days of sunshine and I'm sure if we had come here in the rain my review might be slightly different. Having no facilities ie toilet block, isn't a problem so long as you have your own! It's a truly wonderful site, so peaceful and well laid out, spacious, light and private. There are both hardstanding and grass pitches but no fully serviced pitches. There are lots of trees, but if you like lots of sunshine there are plenty of pitches to accomodate this. Some, not all, pitches have wonderful views over the moors, and as the previous reviewer stated there are easy dog walks from the site. We visited Falling Foss Waterfalls and the Nature Reserve and Cafe there. Much recommended, even in times of Covid. Whitby is busy but very small and compact with interesting little shops and wonderful fish and chips. We cycled along the Cinder Track from Robin Hood's Bay to Whitby which was marvellous. Cycling is good, traffic is light, so long as you don't mind hills! Dogs are very welcome. Posted on the outside of the information shed, at the site, were details of where you could park your motorhome locally - what a brilliant idea, and I would personally like to commend the site wardens for going to the bother of doing this for all us MH users. Great site, fabulous region, we will be back
