Pack your caravan and get yourself to North Ledaig

Just returned from a weeks break to North Ledaig, we were lucky enough to get the front row pitch and it was phenomenal. The views are breath taking, with the beautiful sea in front and the stunning mountains behind. The pitch size is great, loads of room, toilets and showers great and staff are lovely. There is not much to do, but spend time with your family, enjoy the surroundings, visit Oban, go on boat trips to the various islands (we went to Isle of Kererra and it was stunning) the list is endless, go to the sealife centre, chocolate company, eat fresh fish etc. There is no club site which to be honest I think is a good thing as it would detract from the setting you are in. We went with two kids (4 and 7) and they had the best time, playng on the beach and just being out in the sunshine. Well its safe to say a week wasn't enough and we will be booking two weeks next time. Love it!!!

Nothing special

Stayed for a single night whilst heading north on a day of torrential rain. Entering the office on arrival we were  'greeted' by five staff members who looked like they couldn't be bothered to sign us in. We were eventually booked in and shown to a pitch by a friendly warden towards the back of the site which was level although some distance from the sea. Only half the washing facilities were open so despite the site being less than full there were queues for the showers on the morning.  The a828 runs behind the site so suggest asking for a pitch well away from the road.  A general question: why do all sites have high season rates through the English school holiday dates? This is Scotland where the holiday dates are different.  £26.60 for a one night stopover at the beginning of April for two adults in a small camper does not represent good value.

Simply stunning site

Recently returned from another wonderful holiday at this stunning location. There is always something to see out in the bay and the sunsets are spectacular. We have been coming here for a great many years, at least twice a year, and never tire of it. All the staff are very friendly. Very well stocked shop. Toilet blocks are always kept very well kept. Downside: cannot think of any. Looking forward to our next visit.

One bad apple !

One of the best sites we have stayed on. Superb location ,great constantly changing views over the bay and lots to do in the stunning area nearby. The shop is good and staff brilliant apart from one who (literally) told off a very helpful lady, belittling her in front of us and other staff for trying to find an up to date phone no. for us through directory enquiries. It was embarrassing and upsetting for all of us but particularly for the m.o.staff concerned. If this woman is in charge then she needs to develop better management skills by making staff aware of policies and treating people (including customers) with courtesy and respect. She is lucky to work with people who show such customer care and initiative. I was hoping to speak to her directly but didn't manage to see her before we left. What a shame!

Shame about the thief:

Lovely location, spectacular views, friendly staff and a thief! Shame on me for not investigating a few suspicious noises after the blinds went down, but some toe-rag obviously needed a new cap for their wastehog/aquaroll! I can only  hope that they were stupid enough to put the one they stole off my wastehog on their aquaroll and poisened themselves. Such behaviour has soured an otherwise enjoyable stay...

By the seaside

One of the best sites we have ever stayed on. Ourselves and our grandchildren were made most welcome, given a first class location right beside the beach which the children were delighted with. Perfect base for visiting Oban and for our visits to Mull. In certain windy weather tie-downs woul be essential.

Large site and great location

The site is large with an area set aside for the caravan club. The location is stunning and the view lovely, great fun putting the awning in the wind. Toilets and showers clean and ideal. Shop  (large) and staff very helpful. Can't really fault the place, enjoyed the stay and will stay again, many thanks.

wonderful spot

we have been staying here most years for over 25 years . the location , position , views are unbeatable . facilities are good , one of the blocks needs a little updating , the other is excellent . the paper based booking system is a little prehistoric , but the lovely staff work extremely hard to meet your needs . thoroughly recommended to all.
