We stayed for 1 night in June having picked up a new outfit nearby to test it out. We were immediately made to feel welcome by the wardens who were friendly, humorous and polite. The site is quite big- 270-odd pitches I believe, but actually feels much smaller due to the way the pitches are arranged with hedges forming breaks between areas of pitches. The facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean and the wardens keep a very low profile which some sites could learn from. I would like to mention that it was nice to see the wardens obeying the 5 mph site speed limit with their machinery. In 20 years of membership of the club this is the first site we have stayed at where the wardens are leading by example and practicing what the club preaches. Well done them and wardens on other sites- take a leaf out of these peoples' book. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the not too distant future.
