Good for families

Not really for us

We were spending a week on the IOW and travelling via Lymington so this site seemed a useful two night stop over. The site staff were friendly and professional when we booked in. This is a sprawling site with getting on for 300 pitches so would not normally be our choice, more of a holiday site rather than a touring site. It is also a bit remote if you don't have your own transport. Didn't use the toilet blocks but it was good to see two open grill motorhome waste points. One of the real disappointments was the limited number of hardstanding pitches. First time for a long time we have had to use a grass pitch. Fortunately it was quite firm and despite some rain remained so. Don't know about shopping but on the Saturday my Sister picked us up ( from the entrance I hasten to add!) to take us out to lunch. We went to the Pebble of the Beach Restaurant at Barton on Sea. Lovely meal so happy to recommend.
