Stayed 18th July for 5 days. Fabulous staff so helpful. Extremely clean. Great for walks and bike rides direct from site. Will be back for longer next time!

Another great stay.

Just had a weeks stay at one of our favourite sites. Staff were helpful as ever and always willing to have a chat. The site was as expected, clean, tidy and well kept, facilities were top notch as well. Love this site for it's location and accessibility, great for walks with the dogs and easy access to beaches a few minutes away. Fantastic dog free run area at the back of site, always nice to have a chat while the dogs run and play. Cracking site, well done.

Fantastic site

We stayed for a complete week from Saturday to Saturday, arriving 9th July. It was very busy when we arrived but the pitches are well situated and we had plenty of space. The staff efficiently dealt with a large number of arrivals & we quickly were greeted whilst queuing and advised which documents they required. We were then booked in by a very friendly and welcoming lady who took time to answer all questions. The site is easily reached from the main road & ideally situated for local attractions, beaches and forest villages and walks. The New Forest tour bus stops outside. The information room had loads of leaflets & books giving ideas. There were detailed instructions for walks & the whereabouts of pubs and restaurants. Within 5-10 minutes you could reach patrol stations & supermarkets. The facilities on site were superb. The shower and toilet blocks were immaculately clean and all toilets & showers were working. The whole site was kept in top condition and each area was well situated & attractive to give privacy and made you feel like you were on a much smaller site. This is one of the best sites we have stayed on and we recommend it highly.

Excellent site.

Our welcome was very professional polite and courteous. Serviced itches were big enough but considering top end price paid lacked any real privacy.and this gave the impression of being a little crammed in. Facilities were spotless and the on camp dog walking areas were the best we have experienced. There were even small fenced and clean dog toilet areas discreatly placed around the site. Reception area and the shop were both readily available and wardens spoke to us like we were adults, which is not always the case on these sites! Location was great with easy access to local beaches and the new forest. Selection of pitch would be key to us returning but this was a VERY nice site.

Great site

We had a perfect 5 night break in the forest. We have stayed at Black Knowl a few times but they were full, we were unsure about the location but we were not disappointed. We would definitely stay again. Great location for cycling, quiet road with only a short distance ti reach the forest, they have lots of maps in the information office with routes that they will copy. The site is spacious so plenty of choice for pitch. Facility blocks really clean and we never had to queue for a shower, always hot water. The wardens were lovely, really friendly, welcoming and informative. Highly recommend this site.

Pick your pitch carefully

Great site, lovely wardens, super facilities, wonderful for cycling/walking BUT pick your pitch carefully as the pitches next to Forest Road are noisy due to constant traffic.

Excellent site

Really enjoyed stay. Wardens amazing, as rang us to let us know our canopy had got caught by the wind and helped us sort it. Site nice and quiet and super clean. Very well stocked shop on site. A little off the beaten track if you want to walk, but main road has side verge so safe to go down and good walk into forest starts about half a mile down road by Holmsley campsite/car park. Some of walks hard to follow and wouldn’t be good on a really wet day as moorland can get boggy in places. Bus stop about 25 mins walk away down main road, but bus takes you to Highcliffe cafe and beach and was on time! Pubs 3 miles away in Bransgore. Nice dog walks on site and two play areas if you have kids. Perfect for those with cars and bikes, more challenging for walkers.

COLD WATER

Just spent a couple of nights at this usually fantastic site, sadly on this occasion it was not up to standard. Had to put up with cold water in showers, hand basins and washing up facilities. We did eventually get some hot water after letting the water run for 2 or 3 minutes but who wants to stand under a cold shower waiting for it to warm up - it's just not good enough. I know that at least 3 people including myself complained but the wardens didn't seem interested. If the club are lowering standards then they need to lower the prices to match. Also, I noted that the outdoor lighting was coming at 5.30 pm and not going off again until 7 am??? why is this? the prices have been hiked up to help with the cost of electricity so why is it being wasted when it is clearly not needed. Again the warden wasn't interested. Very disappointed this time round

Fantastic Jubilee Weekend

We stayed for 2 wonderful nights over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend and loved our first visit to this beautiful site. We travelled as a family of 4, with 2 young kids and our dog. The facilities on site for all were fantastic. Our kids loved the park and the dog was also made welcome. Having areas on the site where he could run around off lead was a real bonus. The site is immaculately presented and the pitches generously sized. Although it was fully booked, we never felt cramped or crowded anywhere. No queuing for toilets/showers/dishwashing facilities either :) The staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved it so much we have already booked our return trip for later this summer.
