Myself and my wife decided to have our holiday this year at the new forest centenary site, it was the first time in the 2 years we’ve been members that we decided to stay at a club site, what a brilliant decision.
The first impression was how lovely the drive in was and how tidy the site was, then we got to book in and meet the staff, what a wonderful, happy , friendly group of staff they were. They all looked so happy to be at work it was such a nice atmosphere. They helped us to choose our pitch, told us all about the food services, what day the cakes came in lol etc, it was such a pleasure.
The site was pristine, nothing out of place it was lovely, it’s close by to the coast for days out, site seeing , walks in the forest , visiting local villages for food and drink.
The whole stay was a delight, the only down side was the holiday had to end eventually.
We can’t wait to visit again as we most certainly will do in the future,
Can’t recommend the site highly enough
Recent Stay
Stayed here recently for one week. Nice site and the staff were helpful and friendly. Downside to the site is WiFi is weak, and the road that runs along the site is the old airfield is very busy!!! The cattle grid is loud so I would not recommend staying on the Liberator field as it is constantly rattling...
Not the best location if you don't have a car. The grass situated along each pitch is left long for environment reasons, which is good, however you do get lots of wasps around you and the grass is course, found it hard to get a spot to relax in without being surrounded by wasps and flies.
No WI FI available as advertised
We stayed for the weekend on a grass pitch. We have visited before so everything was neat and tidy and what we expected. However, the club states that free wifi and premium wifi would be available at this site from 8th August. I could hardly get an EE phone signal here and I could not connect to the free Wi-Fi or indeed the premium wifi which I would have happily paid for. This was inconvenient to us as we have elderly parentto check up on. We paid almost 100 pounds for our weekend grass pitch so we were disappointed that what was advertised is clearly not available or not working hence 4 stars. The site and staff were exemplary as always and this is not their fault.
Enjoyable stay at this friendly site
We had a very enjoyable stay at this site. There was a great children's play area and the site was very dog friendly. There were lots of very well thought out details, including a dog walk and garden. The staff were friendly and the site and facilities were clean. The area was lovely and we also travelled in Dorset. Great place for country and beach. There were food vans visiting the site and a useful shop and laundry

Great Site
Perfectly placed for both coast and countryside. Well kept site with excellent managers. Superb facilities. Well worth our regular visits. If you haven't stayed here you are missing something special
Excellent Team running a Great Site
Due to illness, we had to call an ambulance to the site. The team helped us and the ambulance service brilliantly, and were ready to get involved if needed be.
That’s aside, a clean and well presented site, absolutely love the dog run, as did our 4 legged children.
The on-site food vans were great especially the Fish and Chips, they were super delicious and freshly made to order, well worth the small wait.
Will definitely go back
First motorhome holiday ever, so great first site while getting to learn the ropes (rules). Lovely pitch, near dog walking area for my pup. Relaxed fellow campers. Hadn’t booked and arrived early evening - no problem. Lovely sky at night with lots of stars - can recommend short walk at 2.30am (my pup got me up). Nicky and husband were very friendly too (hope their dog is better). See you next time.
Wonderful site
We stayed for 1 night in June having picked up a new outfit nearby to test it out.
We were immediately made to feel welcome by the wardens who were friendly, humorous and polite. The site is quite big- 270-odd pitches I believe, but actually feels much smaller due to the way the pitches are arranged with hedges forming breaks between areas of pitches. The facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean and the wardens keep a very low profile which some sites could learn from.
I would like to mention that it was nice to see the wardens obeying the 5 mph site speed limit with their machinery. In 20 years of membership of the club this is the first site we have stayed at where the wardens are leading by example and practicing what the club preaches.
Well done them and wardens on other sites- take a leaf out of these peoples' book.
We will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the not too distant future.
just perfect
From the little shop (very handy with caravan bits and lovely cakes!)
to the food vans (pizza was a massive hit)
to the beautifully maintained pitches
and the sparkly clean showers
this site is the best
definately will visit again
Another excellent stay
Another brilliant few days at The Centenary Club Campsite , cycling, walking and generally enjoying the New Forest and all it has to offer.
The site facilities are superb and the staff extremely helpful.
Fish and Chips on site come highly recommended!
