The site is in a great location with a nice beach - a mix of pebbles and sand. Despite the site being busy, the beach was very quiet. For the two days we were there, there were only ever a handful of people on the beach when we visited. As newbies, we opted for a pitch with proximity to the sea and definitely felt quite buffeted at points. You have to balance being closest to the sea with being more exposed to the elements. Although we didn't use the toilets or showers, the facilities seemed good and there was a regular cleaning schedule. There's a small park and a games room for children but we didn't see many children or teens on-site when we were there. It skewed to older clientele and lots of dogs. Staff were friendly and efficient. It is quite remote so it's probably best to stock up before you go. The site does have a shop but it's small and expensive. However, you should definitely try their amazing Yorkshire chocolate loaf!
