Paradise

We have been going to this site for more than 23 years. We have watched it develop during this time, but it has always remained our favourite site. Our children have grown up with it, and last year our grandaughter came to visit, adding yet another generation. The wardens are fabulous, and so nice. The whole site is spotless, and well kept. We stayed 3 weeks, and have the bank holiday booked there, plus another 2 weeks in September. Long may it carry on, it really is paradise xxx

Great place

What a beautiful site. Friendly wardens, and very helpful. Beautiful facilities, super large pitches, and a games room with a pool table. The site is well kept, and even the abundance of  rabbits are a pleasure to watch. Went out to the Lighthouse, at the Mull of Galloway, tricky drive in a Motorhome, but well worth it for the view. Was quite windy when we were visited the site, but the beach would be beautiful in the sun.

Peaceful sea view

My 1st visit to a CC site and a brilliant choice. A friendly warden to welcome me, a pick of available pitches with no one watching my every move, A peaceful place to relax with superb facilities on site and plenty of local places to visit. Will definitely camp here again if in the area just to watch the rabbits

Friendly and relaxed

Lovely position overlooking the bay and well located for visiting the Mull of Galloway or any of the great gardens nearby. Friendly staff and good facilities. Would have liked to stay longer.

Stunning Location

This site is a bit of a trek to reach, but well worth the effort. Right on the beach, most of the pitches have some sort of sea view. Ground a bit uneven but well drained. Beach is a bit rocky/pebbly but once the tide has gone out, there is a vast expanse of hard, smooth, clean sand. Great for the kids. For dog owners, there is a walk along the top of the beach area/dunes or wait until the tide goes out. Also just off site in the picnic area. Minor problem for dog owners is the number of rabbits - there's hundreds of them. Our dog (and cat) went mental trying to get out at them. Lots of interesting little places to go and visit around here although the closest shop for papers or anything you've forgotten is 4 miles away in Drummore. The views from the most Southerly point in Scotland, at the Mull of Galloway, are astonishing and well worth the drive. Toilets on site, as always, were spotless and the wardens a treat to chat to. The fish and chip van calls on Tuesdays and Fridays and I can honestly say that they are the best, for taste and value, that I have ever tasted in almost 40 years. Fantastic! One of the most relaxing sites I have visited and I'll definitely be back.

All Good but for the Wifi

We spent a few days on this peaceful site. Glorious sunshine for most of the time. The pitches are nicely secluded and sheltered apart from the ones on the front row which have views over the bay. It's a bird lovers paradise. Great dog walks. Fish n chip van comes Tuesday and Friday. Ferry Fish van comes on Wednesday. Bunnies are all over the site. Funny to watch. Toilets and shower facilities spotlessly clean. Wifi signal pretty poor. Many thanks to the two wardens who helped us get a good tv picture. Nothing was any bother to them.  Great food at the Tigh Na Mara Hotel in Sandhead which is only a short drive away. We also visited the Gallie Craig Restraunt at the Mull of Galloway. Food served was lovely and reasonably priced. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind then look no further than New England Bay.

The Best

I have to say this site is horrible, do not go there, I want to keep it for myself! It is without a doubt one of the BEST sites in the club network, if not the best sight. We stayed for 10 days over Easter as we do most years, it is brilliant for quiet, dog walking, cleanliness. Layout is so well done it never feels like a big site even though it is. Plenty of places to go, Portpatrick being one.
