First Visit

We received a warm welcome on arrival, having booked by phone en route and arriving after office closing time. Staff friendly and helpful. Site and facilities very clean. Location lived up to site description. Plenty to do and see in the local area. We particularly enjoyed the Logan botanic gardens, Port Logan, and Portpatrick. We bought some excellent fresh fish from the van that visits the site every Wednesday. We will definitely return.

Best Site We've Stayed on !

If you like peace and quiet, walking the dogs (or playing with them on the beach or in the water), lovely wardens, good weather (due to Gulf stream) as well as many things to do if that's what you want then this is the site for you. Second visit this year just as good as last year - Logan fish pond is fascinating, fresh cooked lunch at cafe at Mull of Galloway lighthouse great and Campbell's restaurant at Portpatrick although pricey is fantastic (Michelin Star standard). We will be back and hopefully more than once a year.

Peace and quiet, nature and nice chips

An NEB regular for 18 years, can't get enough of it.   Site is well laid out, very well maintained and with ample facilities(for those who open their eyes).   Lots of rabbits and bird life, but lets not forget that we are imposing ourselves on their natural habitat.    Local traders give the site the fringe benefits of fresh bread weekly, fresh fish weekly, and freshly fried Chips to go with tasty freshly fried Haddock, Chicken, Sausage, or Haggis (twice weekly).  Guess who is first in the queue?    NEB is off the beaten track - which is why so many regulars like it - but has many attractions within a 25/30 mile radius including four beautiful gardens within 5 miles.   The port of Cairnryan is close by, making trips across the water to Belfast another string to NEB's bow.    It is a fantastic site which is why it appears that more and more people are going there.   Ah well, bang goes the peace and quiet, hahahahaha.

A site for everyone

We first came here 36 years ago with children of 8 and 10. They loved it! Now returning as long retired oldies we are still enjoying this lovely site. Plenty of walks and relatively flat cycle rides so no need to move the motor home.  A dogs and rabbits paradise. A site to suit everyone.

Wonderful site

This was our first visit to New England Bay and it won't be our last! We had a wonderful week, so relaxing and the dogs loved the beach! It was the most laid back caravan club site we've been to, always found them to be too regimented and too many rules, but the wardens here couldn't have been more helpful! Can't wait to go back next year! We particularly loved the Mull of Galloway and Port Logan!

rabbit overrun

5 star  i wish i could put 500,000 stars on this fab site all i can give it is 499,999 stars let down by the heavy increase in the rabbit population ,they are cute and have always been on the site but the rabbit droppings are  making it unpleasant you even end up tramping it into our caravan ,but don't let that put you off coming here  its my number  one  a fantastic site with first class wardens may it continue Alex mclaren

New Ebgland Bay

This site is a brilliant site. I think everything is perfect about it and the wardens are really friendly and helpful. We have been coming here for 20 years now, several times a year as we only live an hour and a half away. We always go up to the top end of the site but we were very disappointed on our last visit, 15th September when we saw that a number of caravans were being stored on the site and not in the pound. Four of these caravans were parked on three lovely hardstanding pitches. If the caravan club feel it necessary to store caravans it should not be on pitches depriving members of a choice of pitches.

Fantastic site

What a great site, set out in 7 areas, lots of service points and 2 shower/toilet blocks. Everything is tidy and clean. The only problem we found was the motorhome service point, specifically the waste water grate which is on the wrong side when you follow the one way system. We were only pitched  a few feet from it so used a bucket to empty the tank but lots of other motorhomes had to go the wrong way so their tap was in the right place. We will definitely visit again, it was so peaceful with great access to a dog friendly beach. Highly recommended.

Nice plaice - shame about the fish

This is a lovely site that we have visited each year since we first discovered it.  It is clean and well set out, with the caravans given plenty of space amongst lots of greenery - a real place for peaceful enjoyment. The one thing we have found to criticise is, sadly, the Fish and Chip van which visits each week.  The first time we tried them, the fish was stale and the chips were soggy.  We had had an exhausting day, it was raining and quite frankly we didn't have the energy to complain, though when we mentioned it to the site manager the following day she said that we were just very unlucky and that the standard was normally excellent - so we tried them again this year, and yes - the fish was not fresh (though not as bad as the first time, when even the dog wouldn't eat it) and the chips were again soggy. We'll stick to a long drive to Port Patrick when we want fish and chips in future (and Port Patrick is also cheaper.)
