New England Bay

Been to new England bay several times and never fails to totally relax us. The site is so laid back, and with the lay out as it is its so private as-well. The wardens are always friendly and professional, the toilet blocks are always immaculate and the site in general is well kept. One thing to watch out for is the rabbit holes. One of the best sites we visit.

New England Bay

A very nice site, very open and spacious, easy access to the beach for walking. Facilities are always very clean and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. Just come back from our third visit. An ideal location to relax and switch off.

Picturesque Setting

Excellent site overall. The staff are fantastic, pleasant and Helpful. Frank helped us set up our new satellite dish, went away and came back until it was working, total star.  Loved the fact you could walk on to the beach without leaving the site. The shop in reception is very basic bread and milk only so make sure your stocked up or you will have a drive into Stranraer for a supermarket etc.  Lots and lots of wild rabbits around the site which is nice but the dried rabbit poo is a pain if you wear sandles or flip flops.  The play park is well kept and basic. There is a games room with a pool table etc we never used the games room so can't comment.  Loved the parent & toddler bathroom, spotless, spacious & nicely decorated.  The site is mainly all grass not a lot of hard standing, all the hard standing had been taken when we visited so a grass bay had to be taken. The grass had recently been cut & we carried a lot through the caravan luckily we brought the Hoover, This was a tad annoying but not enough to put us off.  The site has lots of little out the way sections to park up in so your not to close or sitting on top of each feeling. We will Defo be back as we loved this site.

New England Bay - Sept2015

We have stayed at this site many times over the past few years as it is really convenient for the Cairnryan ferries. It has to be one of the most relaxing getaway caravan sites there is. Generous pitch sizes, many in secluded positions make it a quite unique site. Great site for dog owners, good walks close to the site - some needing a short drive. Our week passed all too quickly. We'll be back again next year.

First Visit

We received a warm welcome on arrival, having booked by phone en route and arriving after office closing time. Staff friendly and helpful. Site and facilities very clean. Location lived up to site description. Plenty to do and see in the local area. We particularly enjoyed the Logan botanic gardens, Port Logan, and Portpatrick. We bought some excellent fresh fish from the van that visits the site every Wednesday. We will definitely return.

Best Site We've Stayed on !

If you like peace and quiet, walking the dogs (or playing with them on the beach or in the water), lovely wardens, good weather (due to Gulf stream) as well as many things to do if that's what you want then this is the site for you. Second visit this year just as good as last year - Logan fish pond is fascinating, fresh cooked lunch at cafe at Mull of Galloway lighthouse great and Campbell's restaurant at Portpatrick although pricey is fantastic (Michelin Star standard). We will be back and hopefully more than once a year.
