May tour 3

What a site absolutely fantastic mountains all around and the Loch just down the lane. Stayed here for 3 nights in May weather was not good but the views were worth it. A short drive to the Kyle of Lochalsh and over the bridge to Skye. Great for walking in the valley's through the mountains.Wardens are so friendly and helpful.

Bluebells and cuckoos!!

Brief visit at the end of May! Lovely surroundings and useful centre for touring. We'll be back for longer visit! Usual high standards of all facilities. Our pitch had a bank of bluebells and a sparkling river behind and we heard the cuckoo several times! Very relaxing! Rowena

brilliant

We stayed for one night at this site, and the wardens were great, and very helpful. They were both from Norfolk like me, and couldnt be more helpful. The site was beautiful and clean, and even though its a long way from home, we cant wait to go back.

Haste ye Back!

Stayed here for 1 night en route to Skye. Excellent site with well maintained facilities. The smaller area to the right of reception was quiet with views to the nearby hills. Ideal for accessing Kyle of Lochalsh and surrounding area. The welcome could have been a little warmer after a long drive. So too the weather. Nothing could have been done about improving the latter!

A very bad reception from the staff

We  have made a complaint to the Caravan Club about the treatment we received at this Site. We have been going to the Morvich site for 25 years - before we were even full members and still on my parents family membership.  We were so excited about our holiday at the beginning of May but this was all ruined by the Assistant Warden following a stupid rule and not caring about the customer. We arrived at the site at 11am.  Yes I know we shouldn't arrive before mid-day but it is hard to judge when you have a 5 hour tow. The office was close due to toilet cleaning when we arrived.  For the past 25 years we have been coming to this site, and also Kinlochewe, if the office is closed you go and pitch your van and then come back to the office when it is open.   Not now. You have to pull up to the offensive white line which has been painted in the road and sit in your car until the office opens.  You are instructed to wait with your vehicle and not leave it.  When we asked the Assistant Warden if we could go and pitch rather than wait for an hour in the car, we were told NO. It is the rules that you wait in your vehicle.  When we explained that we had been doing this routine for 25 years and had been on the road for 5 hours.  We were told those are the rules, end of story.   The Assistant Warden finished cleaning after half an hour and then wandered around doing bits and bobs in the office and the compound but still didn't open the office for us - even though he could have .  We were so exasperated that we said we would cancel our booking - the response was "fair enough".  Even when we said we couldn't believe how we were being treated we were told these are the rules, no point "going off on one".  We left the site and went somewhere else. We have never been so disappointed at the treatment we received.  This is a special place for us. My fathers ashes are scattered within sight of the caravan site along with four of our dogs.  We have been going to Morvich for that long.  There was nothing the Assistant Warden said that made us feel like customers.  It was just dreadful and ruined the entire holiday. What is this nonsense with the white line painted in the road and not being allowed to pitch.  Why would this change after 25 years of being allowed to pitch when the office is closed.  There is no reason, health and safety or otherwise why we should not have been allowed to pitch.   We are customers - and we were certainly not treated as such. We thought being Club Members meant that we were all treated as equal. This nonsence of pulling up to the white line and waiting, along with the appalling treatment by the Assistant Warden made us feel like we should be subservient to the Warden and indeed the Club.  We were going to Morvich for our summer holiday.  But we are scared to go there if this is the regime that run the site.   We have never made a complaint to the Caravan Club in 22 years of membership.  We always feel sympathy for wardens for who have a toug

Easter Weekend 2015

Arrived on Easter Friday, very friendly, clean, spacious site, with large pitches. For easy access to site, take second exit on the left after The Jacobite, as this road is wider and better for Motorhomes and Caravans, follow road up slight hill then take a right over narrow bridge then a left through the fenced area until you reach the enterance on the left.
