Fantastic Area

We visited this site in late August so were hit by the really wet weather but that did not detract from the fact that this site is fantastic. The position is just amazing, right in the heart of the West Highlands. It is just perfect for walkers of all abilities with Glen Affric right on the doorstep. The wildlife is to die for. When we were out walking our dog, we saw deer, red squirrel and wild goats. What more could you want - apart from sunshine.... The wardens were extremely helpful and knowledgable and the site itself is very level with good sized pitches. For history buffs, the famous Eilean Donan castle is a mere 10 miles along the valley. Despite the miserable weather we had a great time exploring the area and will definitely return

Ideal for lovers of wildlife en walking in the mountains

We had a very warm welkom and the wardens were very helpful. They knew a lot about the environment and that's a must if you are surrounded by the mountains. Very nice you can start so many beautiful walks right from your campsite. It has every comfort you need and every way you look the view is spectacular. Shops, the sea and things to do are not to far away. So for us the location is perfect, nice and quiet.

Good for walking

The location of this site is perfect for both low and high level walking. Situated at the end of The Five Sisters of Kintail, there are literally miles and miles of walking to be had directly from the site. The famous Eilean Donan Castle is a short drive away and the Isle of Skye is easily reachable. Well maintained by the friendly wardens, this peaceful site is a must for anyone who enjoys the Highlands.

What a welcome

We stayed here in October for the first time and were warmly welcomed by very nice wardens.  The site is beautiful and facilities first class.  Some lovely walks around and easy access to Castle Eileen Donan and on to Skye. Try it you will be amazed.

good site for peace and quiet and walking

we loved this site. lovely location with stunning views. A very good base if you are into walking or cycling. We used it as a base to visit the isle of Skye. Quick tip, the 24hr fuel at the Coop is 5p per litre cheaper than the mainland fuel stations. The relief wardens were on the week we were there. Very friendly and helpful. The site is next door to the mountain rescue center. On the Sunday there were a number of visits by the coast guard and royal navy rescue.

Wonderful

I almost don’t want to write a review for fear that other people will find out how nice a site this is. The location is stunning, the peace amazing and the site wonderful. Yes, the toilet block could do with refreshing and you do need to travel to get anywhere, but sitting out in the evening listening and watching stags roar from hills on either side does not come with a price tag.

Quiet little Morvich

Stayed here Sept 15 on our tour of Scotland, very quiet site surrounded by hills,  site looking tired needs a good shake up,  toilet block also requiring updating and as said previously hand drier out of order.  Very relaxing site well sited for touring further afield,  we visited Skye which was OMG out of this world scenery just breath-taking !!!!! dont miss Fish & Chips in the Waterfront Cafe, Yummy Yummy.   The village of Plockton is a must,  and a visit to Eilean Donan Castle is a must,  if you like walking take  the circular ring road at the site itself  there is a Church ruin and monument to look at,   but beware doggy people  TICKS gallore although our dogs were all Frontlined before we set off on our hols they were covered in the little blighters.  Lovely on a morning waking up to the Male deers rutting to each other from fell to fell.  Would recommend this site but this is a site for improvement.

Nice quiet site

We stayed here for three nights towards the end of September. It is in an ideal location to explore the Isle of Skye. It is one of the quietest sites we have stayed on nestled at the foot of a number of hills. The wardens were great but the Caravan Club need to update the shower and toilet facilities. Water pressure was low in the showers and the hand drier did not work, something which appeared to have been out of action for a number of weeks.  Great place if you love wild walking.

great campsite

Our first time at Morvich.  Spent two days exploring the area walking and going over to Skye.  Loved it.  Wished we could have stayed longer.
