Lovely campsite in the midst of absolutely stunning scenery. Staff really helpful above and beyond the call of duty. Good base for visiting many local beauty spots including the Isle of Skye. Will definitely be having a return visit....
Just arrived back from this location.
The Rolling hills that surround this site are breathtaking making it a pretty campsite.
At the time of our visit there was no TV signal and nothing around in walking distance to entertain you. Lots of reading was achieved.
We didn't see any area for the children to let off steam or play.
We attempted the waterfall walk, classed by them as challenging, but we never got there as the walk was very difficult. We would have completed this walk if the route back was circular. To have to return on the upward vertical climb back from the waterfall was very off putting.
Requires transport to get around.
We have stayed here every year except 1 for the last 21 years, what more can I say? It must be the most stunning for scenery although you have to take the very changeable weather as it comes. Having said that we always manage bbq's even 2 the week before last when the weather was rather a challenge. Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our week, and the wardens were most helpful but 'not in your face', as some can be. We will definitely continue making Morvich our 'main stay' holiday, as will our kids who also insist on staying on site too, whenever they can. (Must have brought them up right!) Thoroughly recommended!!
Booked morvich for 3 nights but ended up booking extra night as we ran out of time to see and do some walks that we really wanted to do, was disappointed about to situation( I don't mind no tv but other half enjoys watching news) as it's nice to chill out after a day on the hills with television.I would of liked to have been informed about this at time of booking. The site and location is lovely,we found wardens very nice and helpful to us.Will defiantly be back to this site and even got family thinking of booking site.Toilets and showers clean
Spent 4 nights at Morvich at the end of July 2016. Was disappointed to see most of the pitches all covered in weeds. This is very unusual for the caravan club standard. Also not able to get a TV signal. I would have thought the club could have suggested some kind of discount as this is due to "bats" and won't be solved in the short term one of the wardens told me. The toilets are as always to club standard but could do with some updating. The
wardens themselves didn't look very happy not sure
if it was due to the weather. However great area for walking and exploring. Great dog walk. The wardens sell home baked bread which is delicious but is expensive £3.50. Will go back next year though as it is a beautiful area.
Booked this site for 7 nights as part of a Scotland tour much earlier this year. Can't recall seeing anything about the lack of TV at the time of booking so was disappointed to turn up and find it unavailable. Don't get me wrong we don't go on holiday to watch TV but if you've been out walking all day it's good to sit down and relax particularly in the poor weather we had which made sitting outside impossible. The wardens didn't seem that bothered we were offered a shrug of the shoulders and then told they'd managed to get their TV working. In circumstances like that perhaps the club should step in and offer either discounted pitch rates or some free Wifi by way of compensation.
The site itself is very peaceful and perfectly placed for day trips to Skye.
Stayed at the Morvich fir 2 nights. Easy to find. lovely quite. Plenty hot water for showers etc and spotlessly clean. Hardstanding pitches & plenty room. Nice and flat no nee to level down i valley. Would recommend to anyone.
