Great Location

Great location for touring, site clean and tidy, warden very friendly and helpful, the only downside was the state other members left the toilets i wonder if they left their toilets at home in the same state. I often find this problem on other sites.

Moreton-in-Marsh Gem.

This is a great site with first class facilities and very good wardens.Just a short walk into the town with good food outlets and shops.Regular bus routes plus bus stops just outside the main entrance. Its the sort of site most will want to revisit.

Fantastic location

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the Cotswolds & had 2 nights at this site. It was in a fantastic location to the village which had a good number of Pubs & shops including Tesco Express & Co-op as well as a large Budgens. Site was clean & tidy but there was quite a lot of road noise if you were on a pitch near to the road, surprising how many lorries thunder by at all hours. Highly recommend the mobile pizza van.

The Best Wardens

We have stayed on this site on a number of occasions.  The location is good being within walking distance of Moreton with quite a lot of eating places and some interesting shops.  We think what makes this site so special are the Wardens.  They certainly go that extra mile to help.  They are very friendly and the best we have come across.  We shall return again and again.

Weekend Break

Came back here as our regular site, last here 3 or 4 weeks ago. Great site with great wardens. We did experience some very heavy rain and a fair few pitches started to flood. I believe this is due to the make up of the ground and little can be done, once it stopped it did drain away quite quickly. Will be here again in the not too distant future.

Jewel

Great site close to a lovely town. People rave about Broadway (the town not the site) but Moreton in Marsh is immeasurably better in every way, better shops, nicer pubs, more choice etc. Site was as expected; clean, tidy and well laid out with easy access to water and waste disposal with the benefit of very helpful wardens. Only stayed for 2 days - big mistake, should have been longer. Can't wait to come back.

Fab Location

Visit this site a few times a year for its location and cleanliness. A few drainage problem on pitches and pathways in heavy rain. Great access for town dog run and park.

Claustrophobia in the Cotswolds

Typically excellent  welcoming staff (with one patronising male exception) could not compensate for ultrasmall pitches, poor drainage and generally poor ambience created by sardine packing. Siting of facilities inconvenient (water and waste disposal) and placing motor home waste water disposal point at a t-junction was unfathomable. Overall site had a tired feeling. This was far from a typical CC site which should rethink site to provide much better space allocation and invest in facilities. West Ayton Scarborough site it is not. It is probably a valuable cash cow short term but medium long term will cause disillusionment and members will vote with their jockey wheels.

one of our favourite sites.

Like other reviewers here we try to come here often as we only live a few miles away in Banbury. We had a lovely weekend here despite frequent showers ( some very heavy).Did think it odd that a motorhome was let onto a grass pitch when it was so wet. Still five of us managed to push it off again. Will undoubtedly return often to this great site.
