A Pleasant Stay

We enjoyed our two night stay on the site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The village of Moreton in Marsh was nice to walk around. Batsford Arboretum was amazing at this time of the year and within easy walking distance of the site, the adjacent falconry was excellent as well. The bus to Boughton on the Water was easy to find and accepted our bus passes so we had a very nice day there. We will definitely stay on this site again as there is much more to see and do.

Lots to do...

Excellent location, a week was just not long enough!! The local town has a variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes. Remember a torch, if like us you visit later in the year, the footpath back is not lit by street lights. Fantastic play area for our 11 to 14 year olds.  Local train station within walking distance, trains to Oxford and Worcester. Evesham worth a visit. Just be aware, the road running past the campsite is busy and some noise can be heard from pitches close to the road.  We were ok, but my sister was closer and said it was audible in the night. We will be back soon, a great site.

PITCHES FAR TOO SMALL

We had a lovely long weekend here at the start of the Half Term Week. The site is very clean & in a great location for visiting all the Cotswolds villages. There was just one main negative & that is the size of the pitches. Usually on Site we park car, caravan awning but hardly any pitches gave the opportunity to do so. They were so narrow that the small T@b Caravan & Awning only just fit onto the pitch. The Tow vehicle had to go across the front which spoils the view. Other caravanners we spoke to had the same thoughts. The Dog Walk was one of the best - very secure & lots of room to have a good run. On Friday the Pizza Alfresco is at the Entrance & we can highly recommend the quality & price.

Brilliant site, noisey road

This site is brilliantly located, friendly staff and clean facilities BUT the main road which pitch 71 backs onto is VERY NOISY all night with HGVs passing all through the night which kept me awake most of the night, but my sister who was on another part of the site said the road didn't disturb her.  If you are a light sleeper avoid pitches along the row where pitch 71 is located. I didn't note this in any of the info on the website.

Busy site with good facilities

Stayed 4 nights in mid October and the site was virtually full so advanced booking is recommended year round. Plenty of small Cotswolds Towns and villages within a short drive and Moreton in Marsh itself only 10 mins walk. Facilities to normal CC standards. Some pitches a bit narrow but well spaced out and many in cul-de-sacs so free from regular passing traffic. Nice play areas for the kids and a large, secure dog field.

Cotswold delight

We recently spent 8 nights at this pleasant site very near to Moreton in Marsh. The location is ideal in that it is a short walk to the village centre and a very enjoyable one and a half mile walk to Batsford Arboretum. The facilities are good with very helpful wardens. Coljean.

Helpful wardens

We spent 3 nights at this excellent site in October. The site was nearly full when I booked on line with only a pitch without awning available. I phoned to ask the warden if it was possible to be allocated a pitch near the toilets as my wife has walking difficulties. He said he would do his best even though the site was near to capacity and the non awning pitches were scattered around the site. When we arrived two dates later the pleasant female warden who booked us in informed us that they had been able to shuffle things around to place us on an awning pitch by the toilet block. I thought this was excellent service by the wardens given the short notice and the fact that the site was busy and they had plenty of other duties to perform. Throughout our stay all the wardens were cheerful and friendly. The site itself is of a very good standard. There are two toilet blocks. They are clean, well maintained, warm and with plenty of hot water, what more do you need? There is a large play area and an excellent dog walk. Moreton in Marsh is a short walk away and is a lovely little Cotswold town with one of the nicest toy shops we've ever been in. There are plenty of other attractive towns and villages within easy reach. We made the short trip to the pretty Bourton on the Water where we found a large pay and display car park with a section reserved exclusively for motorhomes. In short a very enjoyable Autumn break.
