Great site for everyone

Large site but very clean and well looked after. Wardens were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to local village with nice dog friendly pubs. Shame some dog owners think it’s ok not to pick up in dog walk and spoil it for everyone else.

Short Stopover

Brief stop on a 'shakedown' trip in our new MH. Great site. Slight noise, but not troublesome, from the road which we imagine will subside when the trees get their summer foliage. Facilities as expected, staff friendly. Short walk into Moreton-in-Marsh with a variety of places to eat. What's not to like!

Love This Site

We stayed here a couple of times last year in summer and autumn. It is superbly located to walk into Moreton in Marsh , which we did every day. It's a beautiful place with many small shops, cafes, and restaurants. The site has some pitches which maybe are a bit small and others are fine. Great dog walk area and play area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays here and will definitely return again.

In need of some love

We visited this site in late January 2018. Our arrival was efficient and fast but could have been friendlier. I felt as though there were more important things to be getting on with rather than dealing with the arriving guests. The pitches are not the biggest but are adequate. They do look tired and need refreshing. The site roadways are in poor condition so when it rains it puddles. I appreciate that we were here in winter but the site still looked shabby. The facilities on the other hand were excellent. Lovely and clean shower room and toilets, never had to queue. Ideally situated for the town of Moreton with its array of pubs shops and cafes. There is a Tesco Express and co-op in the high street and a Budgens supermarket at the far end. TV reception is poor and you will likely need a hook up tv cable. The information centre in the town is really useful, there are local buses to Cheltenham, Stow, and Stratford. There is a train service to Worcester and Oxford. It is an easy walk from the site to Batsford Arboretum and Falconry Centre.

Lovely site and well located for the village of Moreton in Marsh

We stayed here for 3 nights and we really enjoyed it. The site is very well maintained and the wardens were so friendly and accommodating. It's a 10 minute walk in to the village.....very convenient. There is also a cycle route from the village along beautiful country lanes to Stow on the Wold. About 20 miles round trip. We would recommend this site and area to anyone and will stay here again. A big thank you to the lovely wardens.

Superb site and hard working dedicated staff

We have just spent 5 nights at the site and had a great time. The staff were wonderful, very friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. The toilet block was very clean and I never had to wait for a shower even though the site was full at the week end. There had been a lot of rain in the days prior to our arrival so the site was muddy and some vehicles had driven over the grass in places churning up the grass, some of this was unavoidable with the layout of the site. The roads around Moreton were also very muddy so it looked as if we had been rallying in the van - my point being that it was not the wardens fault that there was mud around despite some members believing that they are responsible for creating the mud! For families there is a large area set aside for children to play and one of my favourite things was that some children (supervised by an adult) were having great fun playing in the muddy ditch and the warden just smiled and left them to enjoy themselves. I am dismayed at reading some of the reviews and I do not understand some peoples' expectations because the bottom line is this is a "campsite" and the Caravan and Motorhome Club have to cater for a cross section of society it is not a private members club. We have stayed at many Club sites over the years and ALL the wardens have always been polite, friendly, helpful and patient even in the face of adversity and a very rude Club member. In conclusion so what if it is muddy, if someone is using the tap to wash their dog/bike/wellies either wait or go to another one (some sites do have dog/bike wash) you are on holiday and if minor inconveniences are going to be such a problem stay at home. The wardens work very hard, the are not well paid and they have to tolerate some very opinionated people. "Live and let live" and say a bit thank you to the wardens (even if they are not having the best of days) because without them there would not be any Club sites.

Brilliant Cotswolds weekend

Just back from 3 nights at Moreton in Marsh. Not our first visit, but it's been 3 or 4 years since the last and it's still as good as ever. Perfect weather, site very busy, think it must still have been half term in some areas as there were quite a few children enjoying the fresh air. Plenty of dogs around as well and not a poo in sight, either on site or in the large enclosed dog field (which is more than can be said for the park at the far end of the high street,) The site was full but the facilities were never over stretched and always kept spotlessly clean by the hard working warden team who were also busy out and about maintaining the site. Pizza van and fish & chip van both visit twice a week. Great walks either direct from the site or a short drive away. A little road noise on the left hand half of the site where we were, but nothing too intrusive. An ideal spot for a short break.

Great location and lovely site

Just returned from a 4 night half term stay, to site it just on the outskirts of Moreton In Marsh and is easy to find.  On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome and given the info needed. The site was easy to navigate around and we soon found a suitable pitch. The hard standing pitches just narrow enough for a caravan and awning with a little room left to walk around. It would be nice if the hard standing was wider so we don't have to squeeze our car in front of the unit.  Facilities were great, there are plenty of toilets and showers which was looked after to the usual, excellent Caravan Club standard.  Moreton in Marsh is a short walk away, which has lots of shops to keep you stocked up.
