Stopped for one night to break a long journey south. The wardens were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.  The site and facilities were immaculate, and it was one of the most peaceful sites we have ever stayed on; we usually head north to wild Scotland, and live in the countryside, so have a high benchmark. I was amused at the sign on the info. room door to keep closed due to 'low-flying swallows'! We plan to return for a longer stay, in order to explore the area more fully, so are horrified to read here of a threat to the site; please keep this site open CC!
