In a motorhome it's not often that you get the chance to get yourself settled in then find that you are in centre of a lovely town; what an advantage! Ok, Melrose is not exactly massive...small but perfectly formed, with just the right amount of eaterie pubs, chic little shops and the lovely walk along the river Tweed, a path which actually goes all the way to Stranraer. Being relative newbies we had a couple of potential problems which might have provoked wrath from less patient wardens but nothing was a problem here. We'll be back.
