Excellent town centre site
The site is right in the town centre of picturesque Melrose which has exquisite eateries bars restaurants and food shops and of course the ruins of Melrose Abbey
A bakers is just around the corner beyond an excellent co-op supermarkets with a wide variety of food stuffs, bits and pieces
The site is next to the local school so expect the sound of children playing in thd grounds.
It's opposite Melrose rugby ground alongside which you can walk to the Tweed passing the chain bridge and back up past the abbey ruins to the top of the town for a great early morning dog walk, collecting freshly baked breakfast rolls on the return
Many different walks from flattish along the Tweed to the viaduct, slight incline to Rhymers Stone or more challenging into the Eildon Hills with a well signposted circular route via St Boswells- stunning views from the top but very muddy
As usual, a well run site with good clean facilities and helpful informative staff
