AUGUST 2017
Recently returned from 5 night stay on this site, being near the centre of the town everything is in walking distance with a Co-op just off the site. There are a number of attractive Cafes and other places to eat in the town. The NTS gardens in the town are worth a visit as is the ruined abbey. Edinburgh is not far away and using the Park and Ride you can be in the centre in about an hour and a quarter or alternatively the train goes from Tweedbank. Abbotsford House nearby is very interesting with a number of walks starting from the grounds. Many thanks to the wardens who provided a trailer board to allow me to test a new towing socket. Certainly will return here to explore the area more in the future.
