Easter stay

Lovely stay again shame the lower toilet blocks were out of action though. Please keep the booking system that allows hard standing to be booked -a great improvement for the club hopefully it will be extended to all sites in the near future -i have always been puzzled that it is not available across the network as per Camping and Caravanning Club and every other privately owned site.

Return visit after nearly 20 years

This is a big site with many grass pitches. Only hard standings were being used in Easter week and the warden said many had left on Easter Monday. One loo block was out of use during our stay because the boilers had been condemned. The remaining one certainly seemed well able to cope with demand. It wasn't very warm in there and whenever I found a window open I shut it. Everything was spotless as usual and three sets of wardens are kept busy here. It is lovely and quiet here away from the decent play area with some nice views of the hills from many pitches. It is easy to get to Worcester, Malvern, M5 and Tewkesbury from here and the village green and pond of Hanley Swan is a 20 minute walk. A nice site and worth a visit.

Great Location

We spent 4 nights here recently and very much enjoyed the area. The site was up to the normal CC standards although one of the toilet blocks was out of action this meant more people were using the other one with some people not knowing how to use a toilet brush, you can imagine what the toilets were like during busy periods. This site is popular with dog walkers and there were a lot of dogs. We had 3 quiet dogs, but be prepared as not everyone's are quiet and allow them to bark annoyingly. We stayed during storm kate and quite a few of the pitches filled with water down by the dog walk, although it was a very very wet night. The Wifi is a waste of £2.50 a day. We paid for a days access and very rarely could use it. When we did, it was extremely slow, so we gave up. The site itself is in a great location and I am sure we will be back, but may try a CL in the area next time.

First time at Malvern Hills

Recently spent 3 days at this lovely site. Everything was as expected and up to usual CC standards. The site is pleasantly open in nature, nestled at the foot of the Malvern hills, there is also a C&CC site in close proximity.(Just over the approach road). The only down side for us was the fact that the bus doesn't stop outside the gates as is indicated in the sites directory, in fact it's quite a long walk to the bus stop. Fortunately, the Wardens have listed the post codes of "Motorhome friendly" car parks. Armed with these codes we ventured out in our M'home the next day, and sat nav took us to the car parks. Well done to the wardens, invaluable information for Motorhomers. We will no doubt return to Malvern Hills CC site, as there is more for us to explore in the area.

Great Location

Just had 4 days at this site, lovely views , good Wardens, site very well maintained. Plenty of places to visit. Some of the hard standings need to be re-surfaced, when it rains you get grey slush on the surface, speeding is still a problem on all sites, speed cameras should be used and offenders band from all sites. will be going back to this site again soon.

Good site first time out this year

Malvern Hills is a lovely site nicely placed for visiting the local area. Wardens were very friendly and the facilities very clean.  We were the second couple to book into the site on the first day of the season and had a choice of almost the whole site to set up our Motorhome.  So considering that the dog walk was only in use for two days when we were there why at the end of our stay was there so much dog mess not picked by inconsiderate owners. The two 4x4 drivers using the lower area seemed to think that it was ok for them to drive past the play area at high speed I guess they aren't members, no member would drive so irresponsibly. Yes we will go again and would recommend Malvern Hill.

Lovely site

We stayed for one night in March having followed the sun for a quick break. Nice welcome on arrival. For us the best thing about this site was just how wonderfully open it feels. Nice view of the malverns from the top of the site. Will definitely be back for a longer stay soon.

Always great

We've been here a number of times, and always thought it was great. When you arrive for the first time, spend a little time picking the right spot, i.e. sunshine direction in evening, view of the hills, closeness of water and drains - whatever is most important to you. The grass areas have always been fine, so not necessary to have a hard standing. (Awning pegs go in more easily on grass!)

For a club site disappointing

It could have been due to this visit being the last weekend of the season, but this site appeared very tired, hard standings had turned to mud & need re-stoning & enlarging as there would not be room for a car, caravan & awning on the majority of pitches. Service points where grouped pretty close together, 1 only being accessible up steps or over grass, bins where only situated at shower blocks so lots of walking for water, bins etc. The site is large but needs to be redesigned as no segregation of different areas made it feel too big lessons could be learned from the New forest centenary site which although bigger than here is laid out to compensate for this. I really would not like to visit here in the summer season when the grass pitches are also open, but as with a lot of club sites with hard standing I do not understand why they do not open all year. We did not let the disappointment of the site ruin our long weekend when we met up with family from Taunton but probably wont use this site again.
