Just spent a few days on this site. Reception is part of the on-site shop which sells all sorts of bits and bobs, the wardens extremely helpful, you leave your Membership card with them instead of a deposit for the barrier and loo key, which is returned to you when you hand in your keys on departure. The loo block is very modern and very clean. The site is very well kept with an area for Adults Only which means it is very quiet. There is a bit of road and rail noise but it's not too bad. Ludlow has a park and ride which is useful as it's a long walk into town and the bus service is pretty well non existent. There is plenty to see and do in the area, lunch at the Ludlow Food Centre is a must. We had to pay extra for our car trailer as we are a motorhome with a small car on a trailer - it does make you wonder why as it takes up no more room than a car caravan and awning!
Briilant site
We have just returned after having spent a long weekend at Ludlow Touring Park and having stayed before at a Morris Leisure site at Bridgnorth we were very impressed by the facilities at Ludlow. It must be a compliment to The Caravan & Motorhome Club that most of the ideas at Ludlow are modelled on those available at Club sites, although Morris have very much built on Club ideas and improved on them. One of Morris’s idea is a Loyality Card and perhaps the Club should consider something similar. All the Wardens and Staff at Ludlow Touring Park were brilliant and most helpful.
This site is not as near to Ludlow Town as one might imagine and it certainly is quite a walk and not particularly interesting. Buses are very sparse, only three each way on a week day, but there is a very good Park & Ride and there is no problem parking a Motorhome as there is no height restriction. We shall certainly be returning.
We would have rated the site as 5* on everything but the location is not idea with NO facilities nearby.

Mad mowing 2
... that's now 6 weekday afternoons when the whining mowers have been in prolonged use. IF YOU WANT A QUIET BREAK DON'T COME TO THIS SITE.

Mad mowing
A decent site, well located, lovely area and plenty to do.
PROBLEM - on each of our first five weekday afternoons on site, the peace and quiet was shattered by the whining mower. I realise that this work has to be done but every weekday afternoon in the same area of the site?
... such a shame.

Clean and Tidy Site
Expensive site, The dog walking area was excellent but up a steep slope that would be difficult for less mobile people. Bus service poor, 3 buses each way, mornings only. Found the walk into Ludlow a good 35 minutes, the pavement only on one side of the road had overgrown hedging and you had to spend a large amount of time on the road. We did the walk in and out of Ludlow once but decided it was to dangerous. There are no facilities near the site. Booked for 3 nights only stayed 1.
Convenient site with very welcoming staff
The site is part of the Morris Leisure Group but is also a Caravan and Motorhome Club site. Pitches are quite expensive but most are super pitches and spacious. Site is well laid out and has some adult only areas which are nice idea. On site shops sells basic groceries and camping equipment. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers on site warm, spacious and clean. Good off lead dog exercise area but be warned this is up a steep slope from the main site! You can catch a bus into Ludlow from outside the site entrance or it is an easy mile and half walk on a decent pavement.
Well maintained site, level pitches but with only one toilet block & constant road noise. Shame it's not a bit nearer to town
The site is easy to find, just follow the site directions. Friendly wardens. Very clean facilities although only one toilet block so some pitches would have quite a distance to walk. It's great having the adult only section as our children are now grow up & we want a quieter break. It's great that the pitch is allocated for you and they're all level, or relatively level. Pitches are grouped into type ie. Super pitch or standard and there are grass pitches too. Well maintained pitches and grass - the trees/ bushes are still maturing but still give you a screen. Large hardstanding pitches although if you line your van up to the peg then the gap at the side for your tow vehicle is a little tight but plenty of room the other side of the awning. Good shop. We took the bus into Ludlow on Saturday morning but walked back - as previous people have said busy B road with narrow pavement in places & steep climb up to centre of Ludlow. We went on our bikes the first day & it was a bit scary being passed by cars doing 50mph! There are bike stands at the Buttercross. We had a fabulous Indian takeaway from Shapla - well worth a try. We also ate at The Charlton Arms which while expensive was the best meal we've had out for a along time - superb. There is constant noise from the A49- we heard a lot of noisy motorbikes. We unfortunately came to Ludlow when the fair was in town which spoilt the feel of the town, we had a lovely walk around the castle and along the river on the Bread Walk between the Dinham bridge and the Ludford bridge and got a feel for the town. The buildings are lovely - a wide variety of styles and ages.
A bit isolated in a MotorHome........
We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2017. The site is well kept and the hardstanding pitches are of a good size. The toilet and shower block is 1st class, vey clean and warm. Our pitch was very close to the toilet block which was handy but with there being only one block. The wardens were friendly and the shop sold MH & Caravan essentials such as toilet blue etc.
The negatives for this site is the out of the way location, this would not be a problem if there was a better Bus service into Ludlow but the service is spasmodic at best. Ludlow is a 35 minute walk and the last 400 metres up a steep hill so people with limited mobility might struggle. I have only given the site 3 stars for families because there is just a small children's play area and some kids could get a bit bored. TV reception is non existent so unless you have a long coax to hook up to the TV point on the bollard you wont get TV. This is less of a problem in the summer but we visited in March when the nights were dark coupled with no bus service meant TV was needed. They do sell the long reach coax cable in the shop.
A couple of observations about what is a very good site albeit a little characterless
Rather than reiterate much of what has been said in regard to this site and its cleanliness and good sized pitches etc., I would just make a couple of observations;
I found the Wardens, particularly the Assistant Wardens to be outstanding, pleasant and very helpful; in fact I would go as far to say they were as good as any wardens, head or assistant that we have met at any of the many sites we have visited.
The walk into Ludlow takes about 35 minutes but is by, in places, a narrow footpath along what is a busy B road; take care.
If you are interested in National Trust properties then Berrington Hall is a gem and only about 8 miles from the site.
The shop on the site is comparatively well stocked for a CC site, and it has a surprisingly well stocked and comprehensive caravan accessories area with pretty reasonable prices.
Be aware that some pitches are a good walk to the toilet block, check the plan carefully if that is an issue. The Super pitches are excellent.
