Possibly the best located site ever

Site really is a dog friendly place. I think that virtually every van had a dog. Few minutes from dog friendly beaches and 20 minutes from fantastic woods with a great cafe. Site is only yards from a main road so access for the more 'nervous' caravan puller is easy. Really friendly, helpful staff. Clean and well maintained site. Toilet blocks exceptional. Supermarket 2 mins by car away. Lots of things to do within 20 minutes drive.

family weekend stay

We stayed here for two nights on the way back from our two week holiday in France. Took about an hour to get here from New Haven Ferry port. The camp site is very clean and tidy and staff friendly. The pitches here are small (smaller then any other caravan club site I have stayed at), so small that some caravan's tow hitches were over hanging onto the tarmac road as a result. Manoeuvring that caravan around the site was challenging. Lots of attractions within an hours drive of the campsite - we went to the Weald and Downland Open air museum which all the family loved. Loads of stuff for kids to do and see. Little Hampton town itself is a very average seaside town. A pizza van comes to the campsite every Saturday night and the pizzas amazing!

A good site

I have done just 4 ticks for the overall rating as some of the pitches are a bit smaller than those of some sites I've been on. But the toilet block and showers are great - nice spacious shower cubicles with a good shelf to put your stuff on. Also, it was good to have access to another toilet when cleaning was in process, which we didn't have on our previous site. It was good to have a supermarket close by too. We enjoyed Littlehampton, walking along the prom in the strong wind that was blowing that weekend. The harbour is lovely too. The wardens were friendly and helpful to me, but not to the person who arrived just before us - as he has said in his review. I would stay there again.

friendliness???

As a new member to the caravan club, it would be fair to say that I would not be totally clued up on all of the rules, so if for any reason I unintentionally break one a friendly word in my ear would be the way to deal with the misdemeanor . I had booked three nights at this site, arriving with my van at the site, having paid well over £90 for the privilege which I thought was a little high. Now my mistake, I had with me my daughters family, two adults and two children, they were using my van for the duration of the break, I was just taking it there and bringing it back. When asked by the person checking me, (as the booking was for two adults and two children) did I have the grandchildren with me, I replied no my family were using the van for the break. I was immediately asked if they were members, they were not, thus I was informed that they would have either to join of pay another £36, £12 per night. The manner in which this conversation took place did not represent what I understood to be the friendly approach of Caravan club representatives, frankly it was more like dealing with a traffic warden after being 1 minute over the allotted time, pay up or else. Not to ruin the break of my family I paid up. Maybe other members will say tough that is the rules, I can`t argue that, but the way it was dealt with left a very sour taste in my mouth, perhaps a better way of dealing with the situation would have been to tell me of my error but to let this instance go by, as the club was not out of pocket. I would have learned my lesson and not repeated my error. Will I use this site in the future NO Having said that my family had a great break and the grandchildren enjoyed the play area The rating at the top is my families rating

A really lovely site

Stayed a week and loved it.  A warm welcome, friendly staff throughout our stay.  Facilities always clean and checked regularly.  Nice showers with a good changing space.  Only negative would be that there is only one block, which was quite sufficient, but meant no alternative during cleaning times.  Pitches really well maintained.  It was really busy when we stayed and the maintenance staff were always waiting nearby to cut and tidy a pitch between departure and arrivals.  We were lucky and got a lovely spacey pitch which always helps. Great location for beaches, shops and motorway access for trips further afield.  Would definitely recommend it and hope to go back again.

brilliant 6 nights stay

This site is a good location for visiting the seaside plus a pleasant walk along the river Arun. We stayed on our own for 3xnights, and were then joined by 2xof our grandchildren aged 6 and 3.5 They absolutely loved the site, made lots of friends and enjoyed safely riding round on their scooters. Site was clean and we could choose our own pitch, however, after circling the site, we had to leave and turn around at the roundabout just outside on the left, to be able to get back in to take the site of our choice (not a problem though). There is some traffic noise, but not a real problem compared to home where we hear the M25 most of the time! The lady in the office was very friendly and gave us some good advice as to where we could & couldn't take the dogs on the local beaches. Gkids thoroughly enjoyed the beach (shingle bar at the top but when tide is out, plenty of firm sand and a long walk to get in the sea). Gkids loved the Harbour fun fair which was extremely clean and well kept. Did not have time for the ferry ride and we also missed the train at pretty Norfolk Gardens so we will just have to come back again! (looking forward to that) A lovely site, set out well and playground a great meeting place for the kids to make friends.

Pleasant stay

We stayed here for the first time last weekend. We chose this site as we were taking our 3 year old grandson away with us in our new motorhome. The welcome was good. Site was clean and very well maintained. Site wardens were helpful. I thought the pitches were quite close together but we had plenty of room for our weekend stay. The playground was excellent for our grandson who didn't want to leave the swing. Facilities were clean and well looked after. We walked  down to the beach which is lovely for children as the sea is shallow. Took around 30 minutes. Local bakeries on the way for cakes etc! Large Morrisons within walking distance. Nice promenade to walk along and some play areas for children. The one by the leisure centre towards Rustington has a cafe serving large servings of lovely tasty ice creams at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning as it is easy to reach from our grandsons home for a weekend trip.

Lovely site

This was our 1st time in our caravan and we couldn't fault this site! The site managers gave us an easy pitch, then helped us get our caravan into place.  The facilities I just can not fault! So clean and tidy, and the baby and toddler room is such a good idea! Much easier than trying to shower my 4 month old! I would and will be returning to this site! 5*****
