Disappointing
We decided to stay at this site on our way back from North Wales. The site is pleasant enough but it is far from perfect as many of the reviews seem to suggest.
Firstly despite the recent refurbishment Wi-Fi is still not available.
Secondly the TV reception is poor. Unlike most other sites there is not even the option to boost the signal with an external aerial point as these are not available on the EHU.
Thirdly many of the pitches are located quite a distance from the nearest EHU so that our cable, which we have used in dozens of other sites without difficulty, was too short. It was clear that others had the same problem as we witnessed vans driving onto pitches and then having to move off to another pitch. When I pointed this out to the wardens they denied that there was a problem which given our observations was clearly not the case.
Finally and probably most significant is that the site is located adjacent to an industrial complex causing both noise and environmental pollution. The noise from the complex is audible on some pitches throughout the night.
In summary this site is fine but it does have some significant drawbacks and I think a sense of proportionality necessary as there are far better sites than this.
