Site feels a bit unattractive on arrival but in fact is pleasant and we left feeling good about it.  Agree with other recent reviews that a little tidying and modernising is required but nothing too drastic. Lack of bins at service point near our pitch (12) was a bit inconvenient. This was attended too on our last day. The wind was coming in from direction of nearby wood chip factory for most of our stay and there was a constant droning noise which was a shame. It was very peaceful otherwise. So if you can time your visit when wind is from South, do so!! Great tea room and some nice little shops in  Chirk and well placed for exploring this part of Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire.
