This site is just lovely. The facilities are clean, although they could do with a few more showers as they were very busy every morning. The wardens are very helpful and friendly and the site offers open and shaded pitches. There is a lot to do in the area and we stayed three nights and didn't move the van. The only problem with the site is rabbits, lots of them, and our dog likes chasing rabbits so had to be kept on a lead even when sat outside the van. Chirk castle is a lovely walk of about a mile and a half through the grounds which are on the edge of the site. We also cycled to Llangollen along the canal path. It was very quiet until Friday evening and kids arrived and they could be heard across the site. There is also noise from a nearby factory which goes on through the night, but it stopped bothering us after the first night. Great site, lovely location so we will be back.
