Not Impressed.
We arrived for a three night stay to find what appeared to be a reasonable site, found a pitch set up and sat out to relax. From there our impression went downhill.
There were a lot of families with children and dogs, the children were riding bikes and running around the site, at one point riding straight through our pitch startling us and our dog who we had on a short tether, luckily and in line with club rules, however it was disheartening to see so many others wandering off leads or on very long tethers, which seems to be a growing trend.
The toilet facilities we found to be functional only and lacked the usual club standards, a full refurbishment of these facilities is desperately required.
Further it appears the play area is a field in the middle of the park which appeared covered in rabbit droppings, which outside of the club control, but is this really a good idea for a play area? Should there not be a properly constructed area which could possibly exclude the rabbits and provide children with a safe hygienic area to play?
There are areas within the site that could be set aside for adults only have the club looked into this, is it something they will consider?
At this point we decided to leave after only one night, something we have never done from a club site as very disappointed with the experience.
Do not think we will be returning to this site any time soon.
