Good for families

no longer feels child friendly

we've been visiting here for the past 6 years and this year we decided it will probably be the last for a while. the site has nothing for children to do apart from a bit of woodland and a large field to have a kick of a ball etc, but is unclean due to some of the fellow dog owners who are too lazy to clean up their own dogs poo, i have enough cleaning up from my two dogs not to have to clean up other peoples as well, so my kids can have a play on the very large field. the same goes for the bit of woodland that's not the sites but next to it, not pleasant cleaning off my 3 year olds shoe. other than that the walks off the site are very pleasant. nice walks or bike ride along the canal. the showers etc need updating but are still very usable. this year during the kids 6 week holiday they didn't feel welcome by some of the older people also staying on the site. I NEED TO SAY ITS THE KIDS 6 WEEK HOLIDAY and due to government restrictions parents can only holiday during this time, and if you don't kids making a bit of noise playing making new friends running around and riding their bikes etc YOU SHOULDN'T VISIT DURING THIS TIME or visit an adult only site.

We take a dog to club sites and we have increasingly noticed that people do not clear up after their dogs both on site and in the designated dog walk area. We almost feel embarrassed to have a dog at times and hope that people don’t think that we are responsible for the poo ! ( well responsible for not picking it up that is 😂)
