I had tried to stop overnight here while travelling south, but the site was full, so I felt lucky to get a pitch on my return journey. I was very impressed with the site: although it is large, the layout is such that the wooded areas have quite a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities were good, and very clean - up to the usual standard. The road in is a bit pot-holed, but I didn't find this a problem in a campervan. Other reviewers have complained about the noise from the factory: I noticed it when I was out in the evening, but it seemed far less loud on the opposite (south) side of the park; I didn't notice any noise overnight, and there was none in the morning.   The location is great - I was able to cycle along the canal to Pontcysyllte, and into Chirk. Chirk centre is about a mile away, and has a selection of shops, and a choice of places to eat and drink.  Chirk Castle (or the estate, to be accurate!) is right beside the site and offers lots of things to see and do. I thought this was a great site, and I hope to return before very long.
