Had a great long weekend at St Margarets, fantastic location for walking and cycling along the Llangollen canal and around Chirk Castle. Note the castle is a good mile and a half walk if you intend to do as a secondary activity! Facillities are far better than I expected after reading the other reviews, no TV coverage though so had to miss the British GP!! :-( Great for kids as well. Only gripe really was I felt penalised for having to work for a living, late arrival means at such a popular site it was wet soggy grass in a 4ton motorhome (no thanks) or wherever it would fit. I moved the next morning easy enough but I think the ability to reserve a pitch must be something for the club to look at. I will definitely go again though. The pontcysyllte aqueduct is a must visit!
