Good for families

Good little spot

We have been to Lady Margaret's a few times and never had a problem until this trip. The site was full so we could only choose from 3 pitches (that's not the problem), the pitch we chose had no fence behind and people kept going behind us as a short cut to the water and chemical waste, even though it clearly states in the information given to you on arrival not to do this(people obviously don't read this or ignored it). Also there was only 1 refuse area. Why?

Idontbelieveit.. ..you asked it right: why?

We're at LMP right now. We spent several rounds water/waste to water/waste (looking for the bins in the places they normally) are to find them at...the toilet block. And regards people walking through one's pitch, we experienced the same at Clent Hills. And the Club's usual response "there's not much we can do about it!" Hey, how about enforcing the Club's Rules or scrapping the rule book all together.  (Just as long as you keep the one about  drawing up to the peg: gotta enforce that one! We missed several prime pitches at LMP on Sunday as several were 'taken' by motorhomers wife's standing on the chosen pitch. Complained at Reception:  "there's not much we can do about it!" See you out there!

What? Never said anything about walking somebody else's van. I asked Reception what their view is on pitch- grabbing....said shouldn't do it, but, as usual, there's nothing we can do about it. Read my text!

Oh I see what you're referring to: walking behind someone else's van is not a problem as long as you don't go on their pitch. Walking through someone's pitch is appalling. Do you do it?

Just reverse onto the pitch, motorhomes wife will soon move. I did this about 3 years ago at Bristol.

Idontbelieveit, you said in your opening review - The site was full so we could only choose from 3 pitches (that's not the problem), the pitch we chose had no fence behind and people kept going behind us as a short cut to the water and chemical waste, even though it clearly states in the information given to you on arrival not to do this(people obviously don't read this or ignored it).

I am asking you were in the information given to you on arrival it says this as I can’t find it.

I agree with not walking on other pitches, it’s just good manners and with the current pandemic situation social distancing is very important.  You don’t need to read it in the literature it’s good common sense and you never know what someone has been through in this past year,  best to be respectful and have others feelings in mind.  Some people’s short cut to the facilities might make others feel very uncomfortable and we’re all on site to relax and enjoy ourselves.
