Could be so much better

Despite the occasional intrusive hum from the nearby factory this is a pleasant site with a variety of pitching styles, from open areas to wooded glades. It is such a shame therefore that the overall impression is soured by the 1980's style of the single facilities block. We read that one site and another site has had a makeover but in this case the march of progress has passed it by. Despite constant mention in earlier reviews it is clear that nothing has been done to rectify the low shower pressure or the shower units themselves which are past their use-by date. And why oh why does the club (whatever it's called) not realise that narrow cubicles with plastic stools give the wrong impression from the outset. Having said all that the site staff were exemplary. But why should they constantly have to put up with valid complaints regarding the facilities? Perhaps each site description should give a facilities rating from 1 to 5. At the moment this site can only just manage a '1'. How sad that the club can't turn the clock back and allocate the tens (hundreds?) of thousands which have been spent on the pointless name change and all that went with it to improving essential facilities.
