Stayed here for August Bank Holiday in glorious weather. Yes the toilet block is dated, as many reviews have said, so if you want modern facilities this site isn’t for you. It doesn’t bother us in the least because the facilities are clean and the showers hot, and for the length of time we spend in there it really doesn’t faze us. This is one of our most local sites so we visit often. We never tire of the beautiful canal and aqueduct walks, nor of the walk to the castle and into the village. Lots of pubs and cafes in the village and of course Chirk Tandoori which is a must if you like a curry! Well maintained fabulous site. Back for New Year.
