Lovely site spoilt by mud, dogs and lack of level pitches

Stayed here in our small motorhome. Wardens were all friendly and helpful and the huge almost all-grass site was very well kept and tidy and the facilities were spotless. On the day we arrived there were 60 arrivals, so it was very busy and finding a pitch was challenging. The one we eventually pitched on was too sloping on both axes for our levelling blocks and both they and the driving wheels were sinking in the mud. The following day we are able to switch to a much better, newly vacated, pitch and had no more trouble with mud or level. Even then a neighbouring motorhome had to be towed out of the mud. I think the handbook should say a bit more than "levelling blocks required" for this site. It was great being able to walk to the village shop and bus stops, a shame the local beach car park has introduced height barriers. It is a lovely, peaceful, quiet site. Then the dogs start. Not all the dogs, some sat there looking bemused while dozens of others set up a racket that echoed round the trees and hills. Some bark every time someone walks past their pitch, some bark when the others bark, someone with 3 large retriever types went to get them an ice cream and set them all off barking with excitement. I wish dog owners would have some consideration and manage their dogs properly. And "exercise" them off the site. My brother has had dogs for years and they have never uttered more than the odd woof and have always been taken off the site for their toilet breaks. It can be done.
