Regular visitor to this site

Regularly visit this site during the year due to its location. Easy walking, Train, or bus to Sheringham or Cromer. We have stayed for shows at the Cromer Pier, play in the park at Sheringham, and the 1940's weekend which was great. Always friendly and helpful on reception, clean blocks, good facilities. We shall continue to return!

Lovely Site (in off peak season)

We received a warm and helpful welcome on arrival and had plenty of choice of pitches as the site was pretty empty. This turned out to be a good thing as many of the pitches were quite sloping (to the degree our ramps couldn't cope) so we had to try a few spaces before we found a good one. We stayed on the further field and really enjoyed it as it was very open. However, we noticed that in a few places the rows of pitches are 3 rows deep so in a busy period you could be effectively surrounded by vans/caravans. The facilities were modern and well looked after, and there's plenty to do in the area - coastal walks, walking to Cromer (although probably not possible at high tide), steam train from Sherringham and the Shire Horse Sanctuary nearby. We had a couple of meals at the Village Inn which we really enjoyed and took the train a couple of times as well. We also headed to Blakeney Point which we felt was well worth a visit. Overall we had a great stay, but we would think carefully before booking during peak season.

Fabulous 1940s weekend!

Had a fabulous first time stay at this site. Staff went over and above to make the weekend a memorable experience. Thank you so much. Already booked for 2025.

Lovely site

A lovely clean and peaceful site. Only noise was from the military aircraft on two of the days of our stay but didn’t spoil anything. Night time was incredibly quiet. The facilities are very clean and well maintained with really friendly staff.

Early cleaning

A favourite site and we prefer the Incleboro side rather than the Kettlegrove side but, why oh why, is the Holgate toilet block closed for cleaning at 9.30 in the morning for an hour? We are on holiday so it’s a 9am shower or wait until 10.30!

Excellent Stay

Just spent 2 lovely weeks on this site. It always helps when the weather is good. Site staff were very friendly and helpful and worked hard to keep facilities well maintained and clean. We stayed on the new grass service pitches, which unfortunately had been spoiled by a combination of previous wet weather and people failing to use breathable ground sheets. The site is convenient for rail and bus services if needed. The beach and coastal path is within walking distance if you are reasonably fit. The site is in a great location for exploring North Norfolk. Already booked for another stay later this year (and next year).

Surprised how poor part of this site is

Stayed here for three nights , and I was surprised how poor it is. The site is split into two parts. unclear fields has WiFi info centre reception and defibrillator. The second part no info centre or reception or defibrillator, nor does it have any WiFi. No Wifi in 2024!! Which reception didn’t mention till I’d paid my balance! But the club charge the same price for both sides of the site. Additionally almost all pitches ate badly sloping, my levelling ramps being insufficient on the first two pitches I tried. The access to and from site to village is by way of a lane crossing a very busy golf course, and danger signs abound. It is also about a 20 to 30 minute walk. The club also advises in the paperwork given under “for your safety” when crossing the golf course, the club will take no responsibility for any damage or injury arising, non of which was previously advised. Sadly, I have to say not the best of experiences. Being advised in advance of booking would of helped hence my review.

Lovely friendly staff and clean site

I’m new to motor homes and I turned up travelling on my own with my dogs. The site staff were fabulous at helping me set up and showing me the ropes. The facilities were clean and pristine. My only issue was the WiFi where I managed to get double-charged but seemed nowhere to address my issue. Still didn’t spoil my stay, I had a lovely time and will return. In fact I’ve already re-booked.

4 nights & poor weather

Our preference is CLs. We only used Incleboro Fields to get the washing done. We were surprised how big and busy the site was. We didn’t have much choice of pitch. There are a handful of fully serviced hard standing pitches close to the entrance which we hadn’t booked and the rest are grass, in our case far from level, well-worn and muddy. The site has a second half over the hill which has no wi-fi. A public footpath & dog walk crossed the site uncomfortably close to our habitation door on which there is a pleasant walk to the coastal path near East Runton and Cromer. A section of the coastal path by East Runton was diverted through a caravan park and back onto the A149 coast road but at LW it should be possible to walk along the beach. Sheringham in the other direction is accessible along the coastal path from West Runton and over the Beeston Bump where there is a fine view. The A149 coast road has regular bus services between Wells and Cromer, the nearest bus stop being 20 mins from the site at West Runton past the RW station. Only 2 of the 4 toilet blocks have laundry facilities (1 x washing machine and 1 x drier). Our pitch was a long way from either at the top of the hill! The site was peaceful and generally attractive but we felt it was crowded and we didn’t have the best experience due to poor weather.
