4 nights & poor weather

Our preference is CLs. We only used Incleboro Fields to get the washing done. We were surprised how big and busy the site was. We didn’t have much choice of pitch. There are a handful of fully serviced hard standing pitches close to the entrance which we hadn’t booked and the rest are grass, in our case far from level, well-worn and muddy. The site has a second half over the hill which has no wi-fi. A public footpath & dog walk crossed the site uncomfortably close to our habitation door on which there is a pleasant walk to the coastal path near East Runton and Cromer. A section of the coastal path by East Runton was diverted through a caravan park and back onto the A149 coast road but at LW it should be possible to walk along the beach. Sheringham in the other direction is accessible along the coastal path from West Runton and over the Beeston Bump where there is a fine view. The A149 coast road has regular bus services between Wells and Cromer, the nearest bus stop being 20 mins from the site at West Runton past the RW station. Only 2 of the 4 toilet blocks have laundry facilities (1 x washing machine and 1 x drier). Our pitch was a long way from either at the top of the hill! The site was peaceful and generally attractive but we felt it was crowded and we didn’t have the best experience due to poor weather.

Incleboro Fields Experience

My wife and I went to Incleboro for a week starting the first week in July. This is a very nice site and the wardens work tirelessly to help you enjoy your stay. If you enjoy walking this is the site for you. We had very bad weather, so it was rather spoilt for us, but with the local pub being (The Village Inn It's about 3/4 of a mile away) we had good food all week. You need to be aware of the Golf Course particularly when walking past as you may get a golf ball on the head, we didn't as we always were aware of players so keep keep an eye out and you'll be fine. Plenty to see and do if you don't know the area. The facilities on site are excellent, kept clean and tidy by the wardens. I would say we had a very pleasant holiday which would have been much better if we'd have good weather, but all in all a good place to be.

A great favourite

We first visited this site in 2017 when we purchased our motorhome and wanted somewhere nearby to try it out. It is such a lovely site that we have been returning ever since despite the fact that it is relatively local to us. The site is ideally positioned with easy walking access to the coast and all that it offers. The site offers a lovely peaceful environment that is always greatly cared for by its wardens and the views from the short walk up to Incleboro Hill directly from the site are wonderful - particularly as the sun goes down!

Another great stay

One of our favourites and Just had five fabulous nights (wish we could have stayed longer) at this fine site, nestled in an undulating area, surrounded by the nine hole golf course and walks. Beautifully maintained by hard working staff, in a delightful setting. Close to shops, (great camping shop), food store, cafes and pub. On a bus route and train station. A walk to the mostly sandy beach, sea and toilets and a cafe. Walks to either Sheringham or Cromer along the cliffs. Sunsets over Beeston bump worth a look! We shall be back. Thank you

So welcoming

Thank you to Hippo and the Team for making our weekend. So nice to be warmly welcomed - they went above and beyond and worked extremely efficiently under pressure of the first day open this year. First time with our trailer tent, although we have been here many times over the years. The site is in beautiful countryside, near the beach, the Village Inn (old punk rockers need to look up their history, everyone from the Sex Pistols to the Jam played here!!!), a great caravan shop, local store, a Thai restaurant that takes dogs and buses to Cromer and Sherringham.

Good site for October break

Stayed for 4 nights in Oct 2023 in a touring caravan. This site has nice atmosphere and is split into numerous areas so doesn’t feel like a big site. In October one half was closed but there was a good choice of areas. A few pitches at the top have sea views. Many reviews mention levelling issues - we’re used to grass pitches on small sites & so not a problem for us. If choosing a higher terrace be aware that water points aren’t available on most terraces so requires water to be pulled uphill or taken downhill. We have a continental van so to comply with pitching instructions almost every requires our window to be up to trees and shrubs at back of pitch - hence no view. All dogs encountered were under control. Walk to coastal path from top of site is approx 30 mins. Rocky Bottoms restaurant is recommended. Coast Hopper bus is useful.

Great break

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this site, the location is great. locally there are lots of walks including access to the beach, train is 10 minutes walk and bus service. In the village there is a very well stocked caravan & camping shop which I had to use. On the way out of the site I had a mishap and the caravan came off the car..... Got it back to reception where a very helpful member of site staff (wish i had remembered his name to thank him online) who assisted me, loaned some tools and we managed to get my caravan wiring back into the plug and tested it. We then had a walk into the village to replace the breakaway cable which needed some more tools. Lovely part of the country, we caught the train to Sheringham for the 1940's weekend, some great places to eat locally too. Stayed from 10th Sept to 21st.

Friendly and very helpful wardens

My husband lost our caravan key and the spare was left inside. A warden on site was really helpful, trying to find ways to get into the caravan without breaking the door. Eventually after a long while we managed to get in, without damaging anything So thank you to this really helpful warden, I don’t know his name We normally visit 2 or 3 times a year for long weekends as it’s not far from home. It is particularly a pretty site and ideally located to the sea and local village and towns.
