Peefectly fine site and the staff work so hard, still with a smile

Booked for a 4 night stay. A very interesting site with a different layout from what we are used to. Redevelopment is somewhat limited by the golf course that the site wraps around. FOUR! Yes as per previous reviews, the pitches need some workimg out to get as level as possible but not a major issue. We visited late September, but I can imagine that this would be a great site for families during the holidays too. We did cut our visit short and transferred to a sister CAMC site, Seacroft - we needed to have some zoom meetings so needed 4g - we checked across the site, not possible on vodafone or O2. Staff at both sites helped sort the transfer and done with a smile, thank you. For those who aren't trying to check on work, then leave your phone in the glovebox, and enjoy your holiday at this site. Usual good standards of the club.

One of our favourite sites

Yes I know nearly all of the pitches are on grass and yes it's very uneven ground (to say the least), but it's a beautiful site in a beautiful area. We've had so many ace holidays here, both now and when our kiddiwinks were small. This site has lots of space on the pitches - it is nothing like the car park design of some sites. The loo blocks are in very good condition and were always spotlessly clean. It's a big site for grass cutting and you saw the wardens out every morning. We were just a little unfortunate in that the lovely pitch we chose had not been cut before our arrival and as we were there for a fortnight, So long grass all around us about from the big patch in the awning area with no grass at all. There was a bit of misunderstanding with friends before we arrived, over the use/buying of blue toilet fluid. From what was said we thought it must have been banned this year, so rang the club to find out if it was okay to use it and were told by head office that yes it was fine to use it. We had a glorious week walking the coast at West Runton, Cromer, Blakeney, Morston, Cley, Stiffkey, Thornham etc - such a joy. We will be back as soon as possible. Never a year goes by that we don't have at least one holiday at this site.

Nice stay here. very pleased

We stayed here in September and the weather was good to us. We are a couple with two dogs and found dog walking no problem as there are numerous walks and ways to go off the site. Naturally we didn't start our "proper" walk until off site, we also didn't encounter any dog problems on-site. We didn't use the facilities but noticed that toilet blocks were cleaned very regularly, and the reception staff were very nice. Location-wise it is perfect for the north norfolk coast, there is a good camping shop in west Runton and the views from th top of Incleboro hill are amazing!

Excellent Site BUT

On our recent visit to this site (which we have visited many times over the years) We were horrified to see many dog-owning members walking slowly along the grass frontages to pitches and allowing their dogs to foul on the pitch frontages .....This is NOT pleasant and not acceptable. There are dog walks nearby, but the majority of owners prefer to use the grass areas on the site. Not nice on your electric cable !!! We feel this dog fouling problem is getting out of hand. Is it possible to have Dog Free areas on club sites as they do on many commercial sites?.

Loved this site

As we live just 40 minutes away, we had not considered booking a break so close to home. We were booked just for the bank holiday weekend but we extended our stay here to a week (as our main summer holiday had been ruined by me breaking a rib or 2 on 4th day of stay) We are so glad we did. We arrived just before 1pm and joined a long queue but it did clear quickly and the warden greeting us was very friendly The site is well maintained and its a very large site offering terraces and niches everywhere. If you prefer the open areas then this too is an option whereby only trees break up the carpark appearance as on many larger sites. Most pitches are well spaced apart. Most are not level and some are just too uneven for motorhomes but as there are so many pitches finding a more suitable pitch was fairly easy. 4 toilet blocks that are cleaned at different times and all meet the expected standard from the club. There is no dog walk on site but as an alternative if you go just passed reception as if heading out of the site there is a path up Incleboro Hill which offers fabulous views. Its not too far to Sheringham or Cromer if like us you walk/bike. Both offer the usual holiday resort trappings of shops and places to eat/drink. The beach is only minutes away and you can walk either way for miles. The train station is just outside the camp site with regular services or bus is from the village itself. In general the site is peaceful despite its size and number of pitches. Very much back to nature. We loved this site and will be returning On Thursday evening there is a fish and chip van We can only advise you to avoid it Our meal was just awful from the dirty oil making the batter on tiny fish tails uneatable to the luke warm mushy peas, chip portions suitable for children and not being given portion number as stated for the chicken nuggets. Fortunately this time the small portions were a blessing. We can not recommend this site enough, one of the best we have been to so far!

motorhomers beware

A few years back the Club changes it's name to be motorhome inclusive. Sadly it is difficult to image a site less suited to motorhomers. The majority of pitches slope both ways, and even with levelling ramps you be lucky to level up. The Club has not invested a single penny to improve matters.

Nice quiet site.

A good site, peaceful, well maintained and clean. Others have offered advice on pitch selection so I won’t repeat it here. Only one downside for me, the phone reception isn’t good, so I signed up for Wi-fi which was even worse. On the occasions when I could connect, rates were below 1mbs meaning it was virtually useless. I didn’t want to stream films or anything but these rates struggle with anything. Not an issue if you’re looking to get away from it all, but if you need to be contactable then it won’t work for you. I believe the local Broadband service might be to blame. Plenty of walking opportunities in the area with Sheringham being a pleasant seaside town.

All positive ......

Having now visited Incleboro Fields for the first time since lock-down, I cannot believe the negative comments that have been written. The site is, as always, extremely well maintained with the grass and banks cut regularly and all the communal areas very clean and carefully tended. As for the site team, they have all been very helpful and supportive, managing situations with good humour and a friendly smile, even to welcoming those who insist on arriving far too early for the 1pm arrival time. My only gripe with the visit is with other site users - the 5mph speed limit is there for good reason yet seem almost universally ignored. Well done to all the site team - thank you for a wonderful stay. We WILL be back.

Campervanner

I have visited this site regularly over the years and three times this year. On each occasion the site has been very busy. The toilet and washing up facilities were kept immaculately clean and tidy. The entrance water feature and seascape is charming. We did not experience any of the problems with children on bicycles or any other disturbances. The pitches, however on our last visit were quite worn and muddy. Groundsheets seem to have been the culprits. Our terrace area had some issues where vehicles had been stuck and there were tyre marks and some boggy patches. Overall we will definitely return but would appreciate an increase in water temperature in the washing up and ablutions area.

Stay at Incleboro fields.

Having just returned from this site we found it clean, tidy and maintained. I have read some of the reviews and found none of the complaints. However I would not have liked the lower areas due to kids and play areas but holidays in school holidays that can be unavoidable unless on an adult only site. We found a lovely space on a terrace close to facilities, and dog walking on the national trust area. The walk up the hill could be a pain but the suitably located seat with the views was heaven sent. There were some locations better than others for views to the sea but you can't get everything you want. Would I recommend this site, definitely YES but be prepared it's not Eden and there has to be some compromise.
