First visit to this site

After our journey from Nottinghamshire and a nightmare journey round Kings Lynn, we made our first time visit at the end of August/beginning of September for 5 nights. Wasn't sure exactly what to expect as printed descriptions can only say so much. Was pleasantly suprised to find a huge site sort of stretch out into a long thin site bent into a U-shape. Several little "hidey holes" off the main pitches. A bit of searching gets you a sea view. Toilets always spotless, cleaned in the afternoon. No short cut across the golf course though to get from one side to reception, you have to walk round. The site is poartly on a hill, so some inclines making leveling blocks necessary on some pitches. Never far from fresh water/wast disposal facilities. Very pleasant area, lots to do, Sheringham has a railway and quaint shops but slot machines have arrived since my last area visit. Cromer is lovely, great cafeterias and tea rooms and a wonderful view from the top of the church tower (172 steps though!). We visited what used to be the shire horse sanctuary at West Runton, a few minutes walk from the entrance but it is now an animal sanctuary, but just as much fun. The food is vegetarian there though. Further afield is the BUre Valley Railway leading to Wroxham and the Broads, Norwich, Neatishead underground radar bunker and of course Great Yarmouth. Recommend this for couples and for families, plenty to interest both. And finally, on a clear night the stars are wonderful, not much light pollution.
