First Visit

This was the first time we visited this particular site. First impressions is it is huge. Although in Norfolk it is on a hill and the pitches are therefore mostly on slopes. Wardens seemed friendly but gave us written instructions rather then verbal. A result is some people don't read them and are unaware on the rules for the facilities. We parked on a lovely little glade, not too far away from facilites. There are 4 blocks on this site. We have a small VW camper with no toilet so rely on using the facilities. Unfortunately the ones near use were quite small and with covid restrictions they only allowed 2 people in at a time. Often those 2 would be having showers. There is no seperate toilet you can use. If you are desperate when you first get up in the morning you may be in for a very long wait. If like us you do not have your own toilet I would suggest you pitch near the bigger blocks where 4 people are allowed in, you have more chance that not all 4 are having showers. Although we were a little concerned about booking during school holidays the site was quiet at night. We were just there for a couple of days, the first day we walked over to Cromer and back along the beech. The second we walked to Beeston Regis/Sherringham and back along the beech. Both walks were very enjoyable. The pub by the entrance road seemed well run with lots of outdoor seats. Although we didn't eat there we were told the pizzas were very very good. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, but I may wait until covid restrictions are lifted before visiting again as the toilet situation can be stressful.
