Back again

This was our first visit of 2021. We have been coming here for many years, and have never stayed when it was so full… and yet it was so peaceful. The new wardens are great, very polite and friendly, and showed a good example of keeping to the 5 M.P.H speed limit, whilst going about their daily duties. It was a shame that some people still do not follow the club rules, regarding dogs on long leads, and not encouraging them to go to the toilet on the pitch. We have two dogs, and keep them on short leads, away from other people, and dogs (who may not like other dogs) and always walk them off site, where possible, to do their business. The site was lovely and clean and tidy. The approach road is in need of a bit of TLC, unsure, if this is totally the Clubs responsibility or a joint one with the adjacent Golf course. Anyone who has not visited this site before, be aware that you will almost definitely need ramps and chocks to get anywhere near level and some pitches are unusable for motorhomes as they are far to unlevel front to back and side to side. Fantastic site for walking from, you can catch a train to Sherringham, Cromer and Norwich . There are places to walk to to eat and drink, a little general stores, a Camping shop, which sells just about everything camping related, and a lovely gift shop selling puppets and toys if you have young grandchildren to spoil ! The beach is walkable , and you can easily walk to both Sherringham and Cromer, if you are a seasoned walker. The steam train which runs from Sherringham to Holt is a must do, when you stay here. Felbrigg Hall, is close and Sherringham and Holt parks make a lovely little trip. Last year, we drove to Wells next the sea and Holkham, and were disappointed to find that they had both put in height barriers in the car parks, so we were unable to visit and contribute to their economy.. we didn’t stay long enough on this trip to see if this was still the same, so it may be worth looking into before you make those journeys.
