This is a lovely, well maintained site. It is well laid out and has spotlessly clean facilities. The site is very green with lovely mature trees and has pretty flower tubs. It is easily accessible as it is close to the A303 but far enough away so that you are not disturbed by traffic noise. We have stayed here at different times of the year and have always found it to be perfect for a week or twos break. The surrounding area is very diverse with the Blackdown Hills, the Somerset Levels, Taunton, Chard, Ilminster and Dunster, to name but a few. It has many beautiful countryside walks but it is also only a short drive to the coast and is in close proximity to a number of National Trust properties. There are so many things to do and see in this area it is not just a stop off point to break your journey to Cornwall. The wardens here are always helpful and cheerful. We have had need of their help on a couple of occasions and they stepped in to help without hesitation. It is a gem! You can sit and while away the hours on site in perfect peace or explore Somerset and Devon from a convenient base. Go try it, you won't be disappointed.
