One of the best kept, cleanest and quietest sites we have used in more than 20 years of caravanning with the club, wardens very friendly and helpful, looking forward to our 4th visit this year. The only way it could be improved is by having internet connection. Perfectly placed for access to several National Trust properties and other tourist attractions
Not Brill.......
Think we somehow expected more from this site. Access back onto the main road is somewhat dangerous, the advertised bus service to Chard dosent exist, and the so called 'dog walk' should really be re-named 'mouse walk'.......With the stand in wardens objecting to you walking your dog on a leash around the site. Not one for our 'returns list' I'm afraid.

Difficult access
A lovely, quiet well run site. Well located for Somerset and south Devon coast.
But......the turn in off the Ilminster to Honiton road is very tight left turn, and coming out is like Russian Roulette. Almost impossible to see looking right, so a long outfit must take a chance hoping anything coming slows down. Grass obstructs view but the sight lines are still not good even if grass is cut. Impossible to turn right out of road, only left.
No other access road is suitable, as roads are too narrow. Just take great care!

Time to unwind
Pleasant, small site but with very good facilities that are well cared for by the Wardens and Assistant Wardens - all of whom were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for us, the traffic noise from the neighbouring A303 was a little intrusive after 04.30 - but we live in a very quiet 'backwater'!
If you don't mind a drive of about 50 minutes then the nearest beaches are accessible; many interesting NT, EH and RHS sites within similar travelling distance.
Be prepared for early morning and late evening mists up there on the top of the Blackdown Hills under certain weather conditions.
Lovely little site
The wardens on this site are so friendly and the beautiful new shower block is one of the best I have seen on the caravan club sites. The only negatives are the busy road and the annoying farmer spreading slurry.
Space
We have a motorhome towing a car. It was almost impossible to back the trailer onto the hard standing pitch due to the lack of space. So we had to take the car of then push the trailer. Of course we had go do this in reverse to leave, but had to go to the arrival area again as the space was so limited, only a single road with very little space to pass another.
The site is fine but just feel they have tried to squeeze to many pitches on. Thus making parking up awkward.

Ideal retreat
We spent a quiet week here and enjoyed it. The dog walk was good and allowed playtime for them away from other holiday makers. The site was very secluded set in farmland but close to the main road for access to local towns and sights although a very tight turn into the lane. Beautiful views down the lanes. Birdsong outstanding. Staff very helpful and chatty.
Small but with all you need
A lovely small, friendly site with good, immaculately clean facilities. A little off the beaten track so be prepared to drive to visit some of the interesting sites nearby. Plenty of National Trust properties close to and also within a comfortable drive of the Jurassic coast. Wells, a little further afield but worth a visit to see the lovely cathedral. Pleasant, helpful wardens make a site well worth visiting.

River Cottage!
Despite arriving at 10:30pm (terrible traffic on M5 beyond our control - we called site to say we'd be late to be told we were the 5th to ring!), we parked in the 'late arrivals' area and bedded down for the night.
We found the campsite extremely clean and well kept, the toilet/shower block was immaculate.
The staff we came across were friendly enough.
We found the site to be in a good location to visit River Cottage HQ for the Spring Food Fair and would consider visiting again.
West Country getaway
Superb site just off the A303. Very well maintained by friendly staff. Toilet block immaculate. A real 'gem' of a campsite and so incredibly peaceful. Access to so many interesting locations including the local towns and also only a short drive to the jurassic coastline.
