Too good for a "Stopover"

We have stayed many times at Hurn Lane, but only for one night on our way down to Devon. We spoke to the site managers and apparently many caravanners do the same. We love this site and have decided to go and stay there for a proper holiday. It has so much to recommend it and it's toilet/shower block are to die for. Hope more "stopover" people will join us and do the same!

Perfect location

Spend 2 nights on this site and of April 2106, staff very helpful and freindly. The staff also gave us good advice on where to take the dogs for walks and a pint us not the dogs of course. Very clean site with plenty of space on the pitches the only downside for me was that the dog walk was a complete and utter joke.

Returned again

We visit this site every year early in the season. We always enjoy visiting this area. We went into Brean on a couple of evenings to have food at the Seagull - they do good food and there is always entertainment on - worth a visit. The site is well looked after as usual - the only minor criticism is that the shower block on the grass field could do with an upgrade now, although it is fully functional and clean. The new wardens were very helpful- no dought we will visit again.

friendly and spotless

Arrived home on Saturday 30th April after 2weeks at hurn lane. The site is lovely and peaceful. It has excellent facilities and the staff are all friendly and helpful. They have an excellent information hut with so many things to do while in the Burnham area, they also have a big file full of local menus, making it easy to plan your stay. This is the ideal place if you want a peaceful holiday.

Tidy and Welcoming

Just returned from a short stay at Hurn Lane. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the site and the warm reception on arrival. The site is tucked away some 500 yds along Hurn Lane and this lane needs care when walking along it. Berrow Sands lie at the start of the road and this made dog walking a joy. The toilet block is very clean and ideally situated. Our first visit to this site but we will be returning very soon!

Another stay

Our visit in April was again very enjoyable. The trees have been cut back making the site more open/spacious.Grass manicured. After all the wet weather we have had the site was looking good.Toilet/shower block up to the clubs high standards although shower cubicles could do with the clothes hooks replaced/repaired,and the shower pipes/controls the limescale removed.Overall great site.wardens are a credit and helpful.

Lovely site

We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter 7-10 April.  We were told to choose our own pitch as it wasn't very busy which was a surprise!  We chose a pitch by the play area as we have an 8 year old who loves to spend as much time as possible in this section! The caged football/basketball area was very good alongside the playground.  There is a small dog walk area although it would benefit from some gravel at the entrance as it was starting to get muddy. The toilets/showers were clean and warm.  The first time I have been in a shower with music playing too!  The pitches are gravelled with a good amount of new stone and the grass surrounding was kept mown.  The flower beds were kept up together and were being attended to as we were there.  The 10 minute walk to Berrow beach was great as we have 2 dogs and we didn't have to travel out in the car to walk them.  The site is quite close to Brean Leisure Park and the Downs if you wanted a longer walk!  It is a good 10/15 drive to Burnham on Sea but Berrow beach was nice enough for us. Would definately return to this site.

Easter break at Hurn Lane

My wife and I spent four nights at Hurn Lane between the 5th - 9th of April. Second time we have stayed at the site, very clean and friendly wardens. Have stayed at this site twice now and it doesn't disappoint. Good pitches clean and warm washrooms are very welcome, especially when it was a bit cold and blowy. Good location and I would definately return. Spacious pitches, friendly staff and music in the washrooms...e cel lent.

Fab for Families

Fabulous 5 night break 3-8 April with our 3 kids aged 6, 10 & 14. Wonderful, warm, friendly welcome from the wardens on arrival. Facilities on site great for the kids with play area & caged ball area with football nets & baseball/netball posts. Kids really enjoyed it! Toilet/shower block very well maintained as was the rest of the site. Big bonus was that the site was exceptionally quiet given the time of year & children's Easter hols. We've stayed at this site several times & whether quiet or busy it doesn't ever feel cramped, plenty of space. 10 minute walk to the beach or a short drive to Burnham or Weston-super-Mare. Brean Leisure Park only a 20 minute walk away & a hit with the kids. All round good seaside site that really suits families.

Great site.

Stayed at hurn lane for three nights in March, well maintained clean site. Very helpful wardens, short walk to beach. Brean leisure park just around the corner, perfect for the kids. Lovely park on site, the only slight criticism is the dog walk is very small, but the beach is so close it's not really a problem. We will be returning as its a comfortable drive with our two kids aged 3 and 6 months.
