Expectations too high??
The welcome was warm. Handy to have two wardens do the check-in. Good example for all sites. The reception was never busy.
We had heard a lot about this campground. All glowing stories. It was difficult to book a pitch.
The location is also perfect. We found the pitches a bit cramped. It was not really nice to sit outside. You look either at your car or at the neighbors across the street. Luckily we were on the road every day.
But again we encountered non-compliance with the rules. People who let their dogs loose at their pitch, saying "he is very obedient." Sure, but there are rules we obey.
Direct neighbors across the street had two hysterical barking dogs with them that they could not control. To make matters worse, they got guests with another barker. The other neighbors thought, just like we did, that this was unacceptable. The guest said to me: "yes, dogs do bark."
The warden immediately intervened forcefully. And guess what. Those people were not a member of the CC. It is incomprehensible that they managed to book for 10 days while we as CC members could not book the desired days. They apparently joined on the spot.
