They seem to be under the misapprehension that all motorhomes with the habitation door to the offside should be parked on a pitch with the front near side to the marker peg,
Out of interest was this on a non awning pitch?
If you were not happy you should report it to the club's regional manager.

Your interpretation of the pitching rules is, as far as I can see, correct; did you ask him/her why they said what they did? There may have been a plausible explanation though I can't just think of one! As for the chairs on the grass, well that's a well rehearsed moot point on CT.
It's a shame you came away disappointed with the Hawes site as we've always liked it - even camped there in the days before it was a club site - and are looking to return next year.

We are staying on the site now and it is quite amusing to see how some members interpret the way to pitch or more to the point how they want to pitch,as expected in this area some are on a bit of a slope
When we arrived I queried how to pitch as the peg on our selected pitch looked wrong, and was confirmed by the staff that it had been "moved"
